Something that my friends always come to me for advice on is skincare. My tenure as resident skincare expert in a previous job will forever come in handy as I can rattle off a list of products as long as my arm for whatever skin crisis you’re going through! Sandwiched somewhere in between my seven-step skincare routine though is an on-trend double cleanse, something that’s been ingrained in me since I was about 12.

A double cleanse is great for shifting make-up as well as the everyday grime that builds up on your face throughout the course of a day. Even if you’re convinced your skin is squeaky clean, it could always do with a double cleanse: one to get the bulk of it off and the other to then cleanse the first cleanser. Make sense?

Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil

I started using this around 3 weeks ago after my faithful Biore Cleansing Oil ran out. Although I’m currently just using the sample version, I’m absolutely going to be picking up a full-sized version as soon as I can! The Etude House Real Art Cleansing Oil is gentle and not-too-oily, if that makes sense. It works make-up off and out of your skin like a dream and has a delicate orange scent. The marketing pull of this product is that it clarifies your skin to a perfect finish: supple, clean and moisturised.

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser

I then follow up with my beloved Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, a newbie to the skincare pack. I absolutely LOVE this for a follow-up cleanse (it’s particularly great after an Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask sesh) as it’s rosewater properties are wonderfully refreshing and leave my skin feeling clean, hydrated and pampered. A pump or two of this massaged into my skin remove any last remnants of oil which is key to avoiding unnecessary breakouts and for preparing your skin for hydration.

What are your cleanser go-to’s right now?
