A lil catch-up.
I rarely get a chance to return home from the day, make a bowl of Coco Pops, and put the speakers on before blogging real-time about things. I miss that aspect of blogging, might get back to that style of things asap. With the UK election commotion done and you can't polish a turd, I thought I'd hang out on the sofa and just... chat.

How is it May guys? We do this monthly but seriously; time is running away with me. Before we know it, we’ll be halfway through the year! I was supposed to do a year here in Hong Kong and move back to ye olde England in October but I’m not sure I’m ready to. Kinda feel guilty about it but then not at the same time. I realised I must be pretty darn lucky if even my morning commutes make me smile. How could I not with a harbour-side view of Hong Kong island for much of it?!

Finally got round to booking some annual leave from work. Never realised how lucky we were back in England to enjoy 24 glorious days of annual leave. I get 10 here. TEN. So I’ve sucked it up and booked 4 days in Malaysia. Get to see the other half of my family, hug my Granny for the whole 4 days, cuddle my baby cousin Venus and kidnap my auntie’s puppies. Half joking. I’m planning to use some – if not all – of the rest of my annual leave to go “home” for Christmas (: guys – savour your UK holiday allowance.

I also booked tickets to Beast’s Beautiful Show! Nearly six years of fangirl waiting have led to this moment :D let me know if you’re also going!

Before I go and make a bowl of pasta and watch all the things, I thought I’d share some Insta-outfits. Literally don’t have the time or energy to shoot outfits properly anymore and that sometimes makes me sad.

  21. Why is everything so cute in Hong Kong????

  22. That view looks pretty amazing. It's a shame you only get 10 days of holiday allowance but at least you're happy there which I guess makes up for it someone. I've always wanted to visit Hong Kong, it looks so cool and completely different to any of the places I've ever visited.

  26. All the views are beautiful here! I'm not so fussed as I adore even working here - it's more because I'm a 13-hour flight away from home so it makes visiting tough!

  28. October is definitely 100% far too soon to come back, I bet the thought makes you panic for a bit. I still stand by the idea of at least 2 years and then consider it. But ya know, you could be there for way longer who knows?! There's no rush! Also outfit pics, I'll definitely help you take some come November YAYAYAYAYA I can't wait. Speaking of which, the fact I'm taking 12 days off with plenty of extra days left to take is kind of crazy compared to your 10 days annual leave allowance.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Unbelievably so - couldn't quite believe they were edible in fact!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yup, the panic set in once I'd hit the 6-month mark! Way too soon ;) we'll see what happens here eh? You never quite know. Omgosh yay, we'll have the best backdrops in non-sweaty HK when you're back. Haha yes indeed - the difference is seriously shocking!
