My Monday AM Outfit Checklist.
  • A leather jacket that suits every single need in the world;
  • Simple yet cute-beyond-cute graphic tee;
  • The skirt that is still festive but that you can make work for January;
  • Really quite bargainous Céline-esque slip-ons that you accidentally on purpose bought;
  • Oh, and that red lip classic thing that you like. Well, ombre hot pink via Lancôme Rouge in Love.

What are your Monday morning outfit essentials today?

Today I felt like impulse buying a flight back to England because while I wildly love Hong Kong, home is where the Wi-Fi is good, where my tortoises hang out being srsly cool, and where my Dad’s wise quips make my day.

Instead I impulse bought a ticket to see 2PM’s Go Crazy concert as part of their world tour. Just the one ticket. For the Valentine’s Day concert. Now is this wildly brave or kinda stupid? I’m actually really excited to go on my own! And it means one less fangirl to compete against for Junho’s love and all that.

I went over to Hong Kong Island at the weekend to tick a few spots off my Food Bucket List with Sophia. Had a lovely catch-up and a day full of laughs and exploration! I took a hella load of photos so I’ll pop a post up soon when I’ve managed to knuckle down and edit photos instead of chain-watch Gossip Girl boxsets.

Exploration in Hong Kong ultimately means hardcore city trailing. Like, as much as you want to wear those pretty new boots? You’re going to be in trainers or slip-ons. All those Pinterest and Instagram photos of people looking oh so chic? It’s all for the practicality. I chose my new tweed-esque slip-ons and my leather jacket to top off a pretty standard tee and skater skirt look but just adore the colour palette!

By the way -- I'm putting together a ‘Moving Abroad/Life in HK’ Q&A post for the very near future so please do pop your questions in the comments or send me a Tweet or anonymous message on Tumblr if you have a question (:

  2. I love your outfit! I've always loved the look of leather, but for some reason, I'm kinda scared to wear it... Since its kind of cold right now, I love wearing chunky scarves, big sweaters, and high heeled boots (lol, because I'm really short without them)!!

  4. I like your outfit, it's something I really would wear myself. Gah, I really need to get a leather jacket once and for all. I used to have a fake one (it was really pretty so it worked wonders) but it got lost and I miss it. It really worked for eeeeverything and I miss it.

  5. It's so good, right?! Two of my favourites from 1989 (: thank you Nicol! This colour is absolutely everywhere in Hong Kong at the moment, I'm trying to get as much wear out of it before the heat sets in and it becomes kinda inappropriate, colour wise, to wear! x

  6. Thanks Steph! I used to be like that too - then I bought leather leggings, trousers, a skirt AND this jacket ;) I think a jacket is the easiest way to get started with the leather look. Oh yes, chunky scarves and heeled boots are perfect for Mondays!

  7. Honestly, taking outfit photos in Hong Kong is insane. If it isn't a person in the background, it's oncoming traffic ;) don't worry, I lived to tell the tale. Thanks Winnie! Super pleased with this set of photos, Sheung Wan is so picturesque!

  13. Oh I went to Hong Kong this summer and seeing your pictures makes me want to go back so bad! It's definitely way to cold here to just wear a leather jacket but I think I might invest in one for spring. Love the photos and I can't wait to see that q&a. I'll have a think about some good questions to ask.

  18. Oh and I thought internet in HK was some of the fastest out there?! :o
    Wow, now that's uber brave, I have yet to go to a cinema on my own, but that just means you're working your way to independence (and I love those shoes btw) ;b
