Levi’s denim shirt, River Island strapped swing camisole, Paperbag shorts from a Hong Kong boutique, Zara flats, Celine Trio.
I flew back to the British autumn and yet here’s an outfit from positively tropical 33 degree weather in Hong Kong last week. I mentioned I’d been slacking on outfit posts recently but I just hadn’t had any time or blog-worthy (in my eyes) ensembles to share. Nonetheless, here’s a little somethin’ somethin’ I threw on for a day of running errands and shopping in 旺角.

These photos are taken outside my apartment in teeny little Tsuen Wan. Lucky lucky me! Didn’t really see myself as much of a denim shirt girl until the past year or so. There’s something really chic and effortless about throwing on a soft, slightly rumpled denim shirt over an outfit though, non?

This number is from a project I worked on with Levi’s last year and I just looove it - ideal for just when I’d started to climatize to HK’s humidity. Underneath I wore one of my infamous camisoles, this one by River Island, and a pair of jersey paperbag shorts borrowed from my sister’s suitcase.

I filmed a haul yesterday for the first time! I didn’t even do the whole speaking thang, the video is a mere 3 minute jobby and yet the whole shebang took me a good 2 hours to edit. Life. Despite that, I’m firmly determined to kickstart some video content to sit alongside ye olde blog for the new season. In other news, I’m about halfway through the process of, er, considering some international career options. I shall say no more. Watch this space.

  4. Oooh international career options... very intriguing Mish! Can't wait to hear more :)

I love this outfit, perfect for the humidity. I need a cover up shirt type thing for when we head back over to SE Asia, last time I tended to use a sarong around my shoulders but feel like I need something a little more... proper. Haha :)

  7. Intriguing indeed! Nothing to speak of just yet but I'll always update on here ;) thanks Emily! A kimono-esque cover up is definitely needed in SE Asia at this time of year (:

  8. Oooh how exciting - I'm also considering some international career options and I'm not even graduated yet lol! England can be such a drag sometimes but then I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be (somewhat) homesick when the time actually comes for me and England to part ways (IF the time comes that is - indecisive person is me.)

  11. It's so nice to feel that you have homes away from home in HK and Malaysia! So jealous of your trip and also the fact that you were disciplined enough to go to Chinese school for 12 years - having an English-raised half Caucasian father meant that my mother didn't have the energy to push us to learn Hokkien or Mandarin on her own! It's lovely that you have both good friends and family out there. Would you be interested in moving out there semi-permanently do you think? xx
