Hello and happy mid-June! (Sorry.) I shot these way back last week just before date night but I’ve been SO busy yet still wanted to actually put some real words to paper/blog to go with them. Fully embracing this summer’s hippy vibes and blanc point trend (… whites colour micro trend FYI) with this ensemble. I picked up the white version of the strapped camisole from River Island and I’m besotted with it. I’m all for trying new looks and mixing separates, but when the weather is actually nice for once I just like simple, fuss-free looks.
Odoroki (Noun; Jpn.) -: wonderment /ˈwʌndəm(ə)nt/ a state of awed admiration or respect.
The kimono is another River Island number: they’ve easily become one of my high street favourites as of late. Zara is good and all but River Island has really been bringing it for something with a little edge and they’ve also stepped aside from that overly printed and branded ‘thing’ they had going on. But back to the kimono! I spotted this online and that same evening in Zoe’s vlog and it was fate after that. Right? It pairs so well with a little cami and some leggings for lazy hazy evenings.
Speaking of lazy hazy evenings, I actually wore this ensemble to a third date last week. F yeah -- well and truly broke my curse. We went for an evening walk by the lake and a sunset-lit swing in the park, and it was pretty darn good. We’ll see where this all goes but I’m pretty content at the moment. Work is kicking my ass but I’m enjoying the whole work hard, play hard mantra and I’m finally feeling like I’ve found a good balance.
PS. Meet Bibi, the beautiful Bichon Frise puppy that we’re dogsitting for the summer - isn’t she adorable?! xo
