Before Henry Holland debuted a pineapple selection at his LFW show, we were there at the Bloggers' Picnic that I helped to organise in 2012. We made bemused bloggers compete for a golden pineapple, ate copious amounts of food and forced, essentially strangers, to wear pineapple sunglasses in Hyde Park. We even had a hashtag: #bloggerswearpineapples.
Odd nostalgia aside, I made it my mission to wear the fashionable fruit when this pineapple print co-ords set arrived on my desk at work. It's been my main conversation starter and I've been obsessively checking for it every single day in the office. (I realise I sound like the coolest person you've ever met at this point.) And look ma -- I got my mitts on it!
The co-ords are really lightweight and easy to wear or layer, with a simple pineapple print all over. And you all know how much I enjoy a good loose fit. The shorts make a nice change from the pencil co-ords that are a) everywhere and b) impossible for shorties like me to wear. I think I'm done on the skirts front for a bit anyway. I teamed them with my Clarks Susie Deva heels for a teeny bit of height and to keep things looking somewhat feminine - I'm seriously yet to find a pair of heels more comfy, for all those who email or comment me about them! Pineapple fever = summer uniform!
By the way, how darn good is Ed Sheeran's new album?! Title is willingly stolen from 'One' which is currently on repeat on my iPod. Go and download it n o w~
