  • Indulge in one long lie-in. (Be honest, you're reading this in bed now.)
  • Paint your nails in 10 different pastel colours.
  • Add glitter because why the hell not.
  • Make yourself a mega-brunch - then eat lunch just an hour later.
  • Get a sheet of A3 paper and make a brainstorm of blog post ideas. One word per stem is the challenge.
  • Finally hit checkout on that ASOS/Zara/Topshop/Net-a-Porter order.
  • Leave your phone at home, pop your camera over your shoulder and go for a walk.
  • Bake cakes and offer them to any non-crazy neighbours*.
  • Chain-watch The Hills and vow to goddess braid your hair a la Lauren Conrad for the entire summer.
  • Play the Balloon Game (i.e. don't let the balloon touch the floor) all day. Monica Geller style.
  • Comment on every blog post that you read.
  • Treat yourself and your sister/Mum/auntie/Granny/best friend/dog/tortoise to a sneaky pub lunch.
  • Play a tea drinking game alongside watching Game of Thrones. The ultimate oxymoron.
  • Alphabetise/colour co-ordinate your bookcase.
  • Sift through old photographs and frame your favourites around the house.
  • Plan a surprise for a loved one!
  • ... Wash your make-up brushes.
  • Declutter your purse at last.
  • Practice some blog photography.
  • Hit publish on that 'risky' post you've had saved as a draft for a month.
  • Try a new recipe.
  • Wile 5 minutes hours away to Pinterest because there's other way.
  • Be happy.

  1. Well I thought I'd do one of these by leaving you a comment! And I do need to wash those darn makeup brushes.... but I'm much more accustomed to spending 5 hours on pinterest : ) xxx

    1. Ah thank you darling! Haha I've spent my day enjoying a barbeque with my sister and her friends instead of anything remotely productive ;) enjoy!

    1. Thank you Julianne! Haha I'm glad, life is always about getting the balance right anyway ;)

  4. Clean make up brushes? People do that? Ugh guess I'd better sort that out then.
Some lovely ideas going on there. Although it's half past two in the afternoon and I have to go food shopping so commenting on this is probably about as good as it's going to get.

    1. Thanks Chelsey! Ah I've struggled with it too - time to get cleaning and tidying really but I'd rather just hang out on Pinterest and, like, colour co-ordinate my nail varnish collection ;)

  5. Today I have actually washed my make up brushes. Does this mean I have officially nailed bank holiday monday? Because I'm totally not going to do anything else for the rest of the day ;)

    1. YES!! Well done Jennie - way further than I've got with that... mine are still languishing on my dressing table in a classic haphazard fashion! Enjoy your Bank Holiday sweetie!

  6. Funnily enough I've just read this and I've been commenting on every blog post I've read so far today :)
