Photographs by Elodie Russo. DIY cropped top with floral trim; Cherry blossom print tapered trousers, c/o Boohoo; Tan sandals, Zara; Jacket, Warehouse; Rose gold origami fox necklace, c/o LHC Jewellery; Longchamp Le Pliage Tote.

Yes, yes, I am dragging out my Moroccan memories and adventure on the blog, but right now, these beautifully cobbled streets and doors and my pineapple topknot transpires to be a lot more than my current proceedings. (Read: I’m probably zooming down the motorway to work right now.)

I wore this on my first day in Morocco. Tapered leg printed trousers and a cropped top were a perfect ensemble to welcome in the sun, with my faithful Warehouse jacket in tow. Right now the slightly high waist cut of these trousers and cropped top length makes me dream of summer and when I can next hop on a plane. Looking back at these photos and my other outfit post, I really wish I’d packed more colour because the picturesque surroundings really do call for it. Elodie and I snapped these photos down a little side street of the souks in the Old Medina.

In other news, I’m 23!! It was my birthday yesterday and it doesn’t feel any different from when I was 22, except now I feel like a cheat and a fraud when I listen to Taylor Swift. I had a super relaxed day at home, making pancakes for brunch and pottering around my room before going to dinner with my family. I’m also SO overwhelmed by your kindness on Twitter and Instagram: your birthday wishes meant the world to me and popped a smile on my face! Here’s to a year of learning more, doing more, seeing more and being more… x

  8. Hope you had a fantastic birthday Michelle! I turn 23 this may and I still feel about 16 at heart ha! Your hair looks so nice like that, really opens your lovely face! I'm looking for a pair of sandels like that myself, really nice. I bet getting a back drop there wasn't a problem, the blue door in the last shot looks great with all the rustic colours.

    1. Thank you so much Katie! I still feel about 17 to be honest, I don't think I'll ever grow up properly! Aw you're too kind girly, I rarely have my hair up - it's a momentous occasion to see me with it all up. x
