This spring sees eBay launch one of their most exciting innovations yet: eBay Collections. Created and defined by their users and community, eBay Collections - or eBay Inspires - further forges a social sharing aspect of the experience.
With so many online destinations today, it is all to easy to completely bypass hidden gems on the treasure trove that is eBay. Hands up if you're a first-page skimmer? Yep, me too. But then I was asked to curate 12 collections of items to my whimsy to share with you guys, and my eBay addiction sky-rocketed once more. You should see the amount of boxes and packaging to be recycled...
1. Boarding School
eBay Collections revolves around being able to store, share and see collections of eBay items in board form a la Pinterest. The idea is that you can bookmark and 'share' your favourite items and help others who aren't so eBay savvy, and I personally like being able to find things after having seen it once. You can see and shop my 12 collections here, including a Red board, phone decor board, Preppy Aesthetic board for my signature look, a homeware ideas one - I've even done a weekender wardrobe board!
2. See, share, shop - #eBayInspires
Did you know you can create collections too? Simply click the little dropdown within an item and add it to your board. I think this is perfect for fellow bloggers who write eBay wishlist posts or even for sharing with friends/family when searching for presents or a specific item.
3. "Decisions Decisions"
Another great way to use eBay collections is to help you decide on an item. C'mon. We all lurk on eBay for cast-offs from that Barbara Hulanicki for Topshop collection, Isabel Marant for H&M range and for discontinued band tees. Adding a selection to a board helps you to see, at a glance, what you need (everything) and what you could go without (nothing).
