Daisybutter - UK Style and Fashion Blog

So it’s Fashion Week season once more! I’m thoroughly enjoying taking a step back from “peacock” proceedings and simply watching the influx of seamless new style in my inbox and on my favourite style websites. FYI, Man Repeller and The Cut are currently my two go-to’s for NYFW coverage. Who woulda thunk Joe Jonas a style reporter, eh?!

Last Sunday I hopped on into London to see my girl Taylor Swift! She was absolutely incredible to say the least. Natasha and I reminisced about the first time we saw her live back in 2009 when tickets cost us a mere £14! Then we met Ling, hyperventilated on the Tube to the O2 and got into Sky Backstage again. Honestly? Red was everything Taylor describes the colour to be: fearless, reckless, emotive… I’d happily go every day of the month!

Thought I’d also share some of my Insta-outfits on here this weekend. I’m struggling to find the time or daylight (that isn’t smattered by rain) to shoot all or many of the outfits I wear so here are some badly lit snippets! The first is showcasing properly on the blog tomorrow, the second has my My Little Pony sweater and the last is my Dahlia two-piece skirt teamed with a mens’ belt and T-shirt. (Psst, you can follow me on Instagram at @winyeemichelle!)

It’s been such an odd up-and-down week for me since Taylor. I’ve had some family from Hong Kong visiting and I met one of my best friends for dinner, but all in all I’ve felt really down and not like myself at all. Someone give the girl a pep talk. I’m going to blame it on feeling super lethargic and also on the terrible weather, in true Brit style ;) Pass the tea and an entire day spent in bed please...

  1. Looks like you've had an exciting week! Hope you're feeling a bit better soon, I think February makes a lot of people feel a bit down in the dumps x

  2. Take a trip out to the country! It might be equally wet and windy, but there is something about tall trees (and in my case a crazily beautiful Manor house- I live and work at Waddesdon Manor) that reminds you not to sweat the small stuff! Sounds like Taylor was amaze.

  5. Once artists are getting more fame and mainstream,
ticket prices are raising! Could be a good thing or
bad, depending on the artist, anyway glad you had
a great time with miss Swift!

    1. Mm definitely, especially when their fame is as stratospheric as Taylor's! I had an amazing time - would shell out any amount of $ for her!

  6. I am incredibly jealous of your seeing Taylor - my friend and I really wanted to go, but it was price that stopped us :( But it looks like you had an incredibly time! I love your outfit on the left, is it a skirt or shorts though? I hope you feel more yourself soon. I recently rediscovered your blog and it's now become one of my faves, I always love your posts, and your style of course! All my love, Charlotte xxx

  11. I love the MLP sweatshirt! I've never been to a TSwift concert, although someone once told me that she's gotten a lot better at singing live now. Your shorts are so cute in that first picture; I can't wait until you do full outfit posts again.
