Primark fisherman knit roll neck sweater, Topshop bead embellished shorts, F&F tights, Topshop KATZ2 cut-out shoes, Essie Lacquered Up nails, Rimmel Kate Moss Matte in 111 Kiss of Life lipstick.

So I've succumbed to the really-not-obvious allure of the roll neck sweater for a lesser cost than a box of my favourite sushi. Things are good.

The turtleneck and roll neck and all things -neck reigned this winter and I just didn't fancy it all that much. But fast forward the temperatures dropping by about a billion degrees and an afternoon accidentally in Westfield Stratford (for the first time!) and here we are.

The turtleneck inspires a chic yet childish side in my wardrobe I think. The last time I willingly wore one, I was in single digit ages. So the turtleneck essentially revokes memories of hot chocolates that Mum prepared for us before primary school days, late afternoons spent chilling out with Dad and a La Redoute catalogue (I ain’t even sorry), unwillingly being prised out of bed at the weekends for dim sum wearing said turtleneck and flared jeans, finding new turtlenecks in Tammy Girl and the overarching carefree days of being little.

… But on Saturday I decided to pair mine with juicy tomato red nails, bead embellished Topshop shorts and my super-battered cut-out shoes. Appropriate. The thing I love the most about this Primark(!!) sweater is the sleeves. I’m really loving longer length sleeves paired with a bold nail - it’s the perfect micro style update!

  2. Love this jumper! Definitely something that would be very welcome in my wardrobe given the current climate in Aberdeen. I love the pairing of the more muted tones in the shorts & jumper with the gorgeous red polish x
