'Lizzie' Harlequin print dress, c/o Poppy Lux; Kitty flatforms, A boutique in Hong Kong; Belt, Stolen from my brother; Gold necklace, c/o Little Nell Jewellery; Two-tone nubuck leather clutch, See by Chloe.

I hardly ever need an excuse to down srs fashion tools and indulge in the really frivolous side of style. When this adorable dress landed on my doorstep from Poppy Lux - Sugarhill Boutique’s little sister, FYI - I instantly knew that 1) it’d have to be worn with my kitty flatforms, and b) I’d go raiding every wardrobe in the house for accessories.

After a really conducive Twitter survey led me to select a Vogue tee and printed trousers for Taylor Swift events last night, I actually opted for this look. I’m never really one for planning outfits despite my incessant chat about it, and y’know when you just spy a particular print hanging in the wardrobe? That. This monochrome harlequin print speaks volumes for itself and I’d already planned red accessories in the form of CHANEL’s Gabrielle lipstick and Essie’s Lacquered Up. To complete the look, I wore (again) my delicate new Little Nell necklace. Like, how pretty is this?!

The dress itself is making me sidle back over to the ladylike side of my closet. I adore the layered chiffon style skirt, the mid-length sleeves and even the neon pink trimmed back zip. All perfectly paired with the circus-inspired print for a fun little addition. I fear sometimes that the obscurity of my ‘all black errythang’ mantra as of late has stifled my personal style, but this week I’ve been all about the colour, via a few sneaky new purchases. Oops.

---

I’m feeling like the cat that’s got the cream this week. Things seem to be falling into place (and if not, I’ve been making a darn good attempt at wedging them in!) and I feel much more content than I have in months. Plans for this week include getting things together for Morocco in a fortnight and then some of my family from Hong Kong are flying in to visit us! SO excited to see them and catch up on international goss. xo
