Dolce far niente: - (Italian phrase) Sweetness of doing nothing; Sheer indulgent relaxation and blissful laziness, being deliciously idle.A swift hello from the past and future in a parallel universe that is post scheduling!
I’m still in Morocco with the girls but wanted to check in briefly to share a new outfit with you before it gets stuck in the memory apocalypse that is my MacBook. I’m telling you guys, it’s a ‘thing’ around these parts, I’m notoriously terrible with technology and… things in general.
The weekend before last, I went on a bit of an escapade mission with my sister. We could file the reasons under ‘men are from another planet in another universe many a lightyear away’ or under ‘it is unbelievably beautiful and sunny out’. Let’s go with the latter, shall we? Little sister and I went for an enjoyable coffee date, explored the Old Town in our hometown and discovered many cute cobbled streets (ahem, all in the name of research for future outfit photo settings) and then drove to the ‘lake’ that resides in the centre of the town, where a circus had also set up camp!
For reasons that I can’t quite fathom myself, I’m back into the colours. Pastel pink and washed out denim boyfriend jeans both came out to play and I blame the deceptively spring like conditions. Of course I stayed true to ye olde winter aesthetic, swung on my vintage coat, my old favourite Luella bag and a smattering of romantic jewellery so I wouldn’t fool people too much into thinking I was avidly awaiting good weather vibes. But I also slipped into my beautiful new Susie Devas from Clarks’ SS14 collection. I picked these out from their frankly awesome press preview a few weeks back and am truly in love. Comfy, chic and the perfect non-height heel, I’m going to get a LOT of wear out of these. More soon about their new stuff though, as well as ‘those’ Orla Kiely heels…
