Black camisole top, F&F; Boyfriend jeans, Levi’s; White leather Converse, John Lewis; Blazer, River Island; Necklace, H&M; Longchamp Le Pliage.

Sometimes, at the weekend, kicking back in your best Converse and boyfriend jeans is just needed.

Especially when you awaken from your Friday evening slumber, and realise that the tap-tap-tapping against your windowpanes is a persistent trickle of rainfall. And with each insistent raindrop, you realise the best day of the week - Saturday - is trickling away too. So to counteract the watery cycle, you slip into the comfiest jeans known to man, throw on an unintentionally 90’s strappy camisole and badge-emblazoned blazer and get on with mundane errands that you secretly adore.

This ensemble is something I love to crack out when feeling particularly lazy. A simple, tried-and-tested formula that won’t let you down whether you’re heading out for lunch with the best friend, food shopping or chasing the blues away. The jacket was another of my amazing River Island sale finds; oddly my favourite wardrobe pieces are from there! I picked it up over a year ago and it has the most wonderful soft structure tailoring to it. I added a Sophia Webster badge that was designed exclusively for LFW a few seasons ago, just for a touch of 10-year-old chic.

How were your weekends? Mine was perfectly spent, first coaxing myself out of bed, perusing a few YouTube videos, and then heading over to cosy up for the evening under the duvet with an abundance of Pokemon frivolity, OHSHS marathon viewing and sneaking in food. Farewell January blues. x

    1. Thank you Katie! Comfort trumps all for me when it's dreary outside and I'm forced to leave the house. There's plenty at F&F at the moment, lots of prints and colours, and they're really good quality - comparable to Toppers! x

  3. The casual look really suits you, I love the boyfriend jeans and Converse and the jacket is gorgeous. You look lovely. Sounds like you had the perfect weekend. I had quite a busy Saturday but a chilled Sunday with a blanket, lots of tea and catching up on TV and magazines :) xo

  6. Yes, farewell to january blues indeed! I'm counting down the days until it's spring again! I like your outfit here, Michelle. I love how you have styled the jeans. I used to have a pair like that but i must've accidentally thrown it away when i was moving around during Uni because I haven't seen them since! They were so comfy and just the right length on me! x

    1. I'm feeling SO refreshed and happy after this weekend! Aw thank you so much Sarah, so kind of you. I lost so many clothes moving from place to place, I think most have been rehomed with my friends and flatmates along the way! x
