Sweet treats and festive flavour at Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park London.

Winter and the build-up to Christmas (which feels like a year round countdown in England, non?) is, without a doubt, perfectly topped off by Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. There are two camps in Winter Wonderland territory: one being that it’s a total waste of time and energy, and the other being that to keep up the holiday cheer it’s oh so worth it.

I spent a sunny winters’ day at the jumbo-sized Christmas market and fayre with some of my favourite bloggers a few weekends ago and can confirm that I’m a newly converted fan of ‘Wonderland. You simply can’t beat the festive scents (roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and cider, ‘traditional Christmas German pizza’, churros and more make a heady fragrance), the beautiful bright lights and winter colour.

Erin, Ria, Lauren, Katie and I had the best time laughing at the novelty and OTT-ness of the whole extravangza, attempting to take photos whilst literally being shepherded around the area and marvelling at a rotating carousel bar. I also totally meant to snap some outfit photos, but sadly it was far too packed, and we much preferred having a lazy stroll, cooing away at darling Athena (Lauren’s little newcomer!) and having a darn good gossip! x

  9. Holy fudge, I'm suddenly hungry for something sweet. I guess I'm destined to never go to Winter Wonderland because I've still not been and I'm graduating this summer! Though it looks like you've captured the best parts of it so I'm ok with experiencing it through a screen!

    1. Weii Jade, you'll have to come back next year just for the Wonderland experience! It's so fun, if not a tiny but overrated. I think it's more exciting for couples and small children!
