What’s this?! An AW13 fashion blog post featuring a jumper that isn’t pink, cropped or fluffy? Breaking all the atypical blogger rules here, but I still haven’t found my perfect jumper and nor can I afford it with so many Christmas festivities on their way over. Yeah I went there! Ah the cruel realities of real life. I’m kidding obviously, building up my wardrobe has taken a backseat whilst I help get our house together and start slowly getting the place ready for December.
For relaxed days in the office, this kinda get-up is what I usually refer to. A simple shirt dress (this one is by H&M) makes for an effortless Scandinavian/Parisian look and I still adore my ‘Kiss me quick’ motif jumper from ASOS. It washes terribly and creases like crazy, but is the perfect weight for layering and there’s something about crisp late autumn days that make motif knits the only way forward.
I also can’t resist making Converse work for Mon-Fri hours by pairing them with dress and jumper looks: I think they’re the perfect balance of smart and casual. These white ‘Dainty’ mid-tops are the newest addition to my shoe collection, and I already can’t stop wearing them. John Lewis challenged me to show how I wear my Converse - so here you are! With a dress and knit for extra sartorial plus points.
Project sort-your-wardrobe-out-Michelle is well underway, with bags of clothes to be taken to the charity shops, a pile for eBay and lots of unopened beauty products in bags for cousins/friends/etc. Feelin’ good about a less cluttered room and subsequently less cluttered mind. x
