Textured two-tone cable knit jumper, Eudon Choi for River Island Design Forum; Black jersey skater skirt, Miss Selfridge; Black patent loafers, c/o New Look; Mulberry Bayswater Shoulder in Midnight Blue.

The nostalgic October air requires only a few things, right? A cosier than cosy knit, clunky loafers and a picture perfect wander through wooded paths. Taking wholehearted inspiration from my original blogging favourite, Rumi Neely, I threw on an entirely navy and black combo and felt slightly uber NYC cool. (Even though, y'know, Rumi's an LA gal.)

A few weeks ago, I basically man-handled Elodie into coming to the Eudon Choi for River Island Design Forum soft launch in-store at their Oxford Street branch with me. The collection is utterly dreamy, full of wearable pieces with an atypical Choi twist. Eudon Choi continues to be one of my favourite designers with his slightly masculine and quirky approach to feminine aesthetics, so of course I couldn't leave without making a sneaky purchase…

This textured two-tone cable knit jumper is maybe my new favourite thing. I know, I know, I say that in almost every post (wanna play Daisybutter bingo sometime…?) but I'm a fickle soul and jumpers are my 'thing'. (Let's add 'thing' to the bingo card.) Formed of lambswool, it is ridiculously perfect for this weather, as long as you're not on a Tube. Tried and tested. The open cable knit is pretty on trend, and it's navy and grey, checking both of my favourite colours off the list. I paired it with my Miss Selfridge jersey skater here but really can't wait to wear it with a pair of low-rise AG Jeans to show off that amazing cut-out hem.

Finally, I've been swayed by the whole masculine footwear look. These patent loafers by New Look weaselled their way into my collection and I just love them. I should warn you now that they are SO painful to break in, but worth it after four or five hobbling-around wears. x

  10. I wore a very similar outfit today but my colours couldn't have been more opposite haha (still painfully obsessed with white). Really love the two-tone of this jumper though and I'm absolutely feeling navy and black!
