66 days until Christmas, 38 days until INFINITE 2013.

one. I've come down with my biannual flu dose this week. I honestly very rarely get flus and colds other than once in October and once in February without fail, but this time round has been awful! I just about managed to enjoy my day at Google HQ with work, but then ended up taking Friday off work because my voice had completely disappeared and I had the worst fever ever, but thankfully I've started to feel a bit more human and I'm writing this from my home office and not my bed.

two. Got to see plenty of blogging pals this week despite being struck down with the bug. On Thursday I was kindly invited by the Propeller Net ladies to the Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden. We had a natter and discussion about blogging (super insightful and engaging) and then we got to indulge in the spa facilities - Tanya and I also had sleep retreats and neck, shoulder and back massages which were heaven after a really stressful bout at work. If you're after a retreat or fancy indulging with mothers, aunties, etc. I couldn't recommend the Sanctuary more! Amy, Tanya, Sarah, Natasha, Sherin and I also went for a dip in the pool - bliss.

Yesterday I also went to London for dim sum with Zoe, Winnie and Mandy. Was so lovely to see them all after a few weeks away, and we all had a hearty reminisce about Hong Kong too. We'd recommend the Golden Dragon Restaurant on Gerrard Street if you want the experience for yourself!

three. My sister and I managed to get Infinite tickets! We're standing which should be an interesting experience, but all in all, I'm excited to see them live. I also tried to get tickets to the opening ceremony of KBEE 2013 to see 2NE1, but to no avail… Anyone manage to get tickets?

four. A big thank you to the insightful and thoughtful responses to my more wordy post this week, by the way. I've written a few of these opinion pieces and as they don't fit in for any of my freelance clients, I figured I should hit 'publish' on my own site instead. I didn't want or intend the post to be moany or feel like I'm ungrateful for my lifestyle, I just wanted to share some of my musings about that fine line between real life and online. You can read the post here.

five. Finally, my 50mm f1.8 lens arrived this week! If the weather holds up (which it didn't today...), I should be able to shoot more outfits now and create the photos I want to for my other posts. If you have any hints and tips for the lens, feel free to let me know in the comments! I already have a pretty good knowledge of my DSLR and the lens, but every little helps, right?

  2. Alas I don't have any tips for your lens but I'll be interested to see your results as I'm looking to purchase one myself. It must be the season for illnesses - I was struck down with a horrid cold this week which is still lingering - blurgh! x

  4. Oh man, yesterday's rainy weather didn't help and I bet your mum would have tutted at you for having the froyo. Was lovely having lunch with you yesterday - we definitely need to do this more often - at least once a month yeah! Haha maybe that's too optimistic. Anyway, loving the title of this blog post! I need to download the album asap...

    1. Thanks Sophie! In hindsight, I would've appreciated the spa more if I wasn't ill as I couldn't use the pool or jacuzzi! Such a tough life ;) x
