Printed bomber jacket, c/o Very.co.uk; Printed shirt, Zara; Cigarette jeans, Vintage CHANEL; Heeled Chelsea boots, c/o Linzi Shoes.

Layering up in prints that steal each others' colour palettes is a pretty good way to beat any October blues that may be lurking. I can hardly believe that we're nearly halfway through the month and am currently experiencing that odd feeling of discontent and nostalgia all at the same time.

To match slightly melancholy morning feelings, I paired my faithful Zara shirt with this printed bomber jacket from Very. It is the perfect way to add a light layer to any outfit and has a zip if you so enjoy that look. Definitely requires a coat on top though - I added a navy duffle coat to this when I popped out for lunch with the sis. The Zara shirt is something I bought almost an entire year ago for my graduation, but I wear it more than most things in the wardrobe. Thumbs up for investment wardrobe buying'! Finally, my cigarette jeans from CHANEL are always a good choice to pull things together.

Over the weekend I went shopping with my sister -- mainly to pick up my copy of Pokemon X (absolutely addicted, hence the quieter Twitter feed from me) and shop for my cousin's 17th birthday gifts, but also to buy ridiculous autumnal essentials like tights, Christmas socks and leggings. I went to Miss Selfridge to try on the checked coat from last Friday's post, but actually in the end, it suited my little sister WAY more than me. Always the way, eh? We also went to see Romeo & Juliet and swooned a LOT over Ed Westwick at Thibault. I think tonight I'm going to kick back with the newest episode of We Got Married, start watching Yuru Yuri at long last and get some more hours down on Pokemon. How about you? x

  5. I'm jealous every time you get these jeans out. Weren't they some ridiculous car boot find or something as well?! And I use "investment wardrobe buying" as an excuse every time I buy something from Zara heh. Note to self: must get into prints.
