Yesterday I thought I'd spend some quality time with my little sister after many evenings spent away from home. We settled on a not-so-fancy lunch at Nando's (yum, sweet potato mash and halloumi cheese!), some shopping and then a marathon outfit photo taking session. Just lovely!

If there's one British style lesson that I can leave you with today or for the duration of the time you ever spend reading my blog, then it's 'consider your outfit choice and then do the opposite'. Seriously. After dithering for the best part of my sleepy Sunday morning, I opted for this amazing textured burgundy jumper from BANK Fashion and paired it with one of my usual go-to skirts (by Miss Selfridge). My oh my was it a hawt one - seriously UK, 22°C+ for the very last moments of September. Not cool. Pun intended.

I really like the transitional seasons, terrible layering ideas aside. The burgundy hues are my favourite, perfect for darkening up a floral and pairing with easy, kickback Converse and a little satchel for an everyday look. Once the day began to cool down after our lunch date, it was pretty much perfect attire for a crisp autumnal afternoon spent reciting quotes from 'The Perfect Man' and musing over how weekends really should be a three or four day kinda thing. x

  3. Your jumper, SO beautiful! Burgundy is my favourite autumn colour I think. I was so determined to wear my Gryffindor scarf over the weekend I ended up melting a little, SO worth it though ;)
