Monochrome co-ords set, Dahlia; Kitty platforms, A boutique in Hong Kong; Mulberry Bayswater Shoulder Bag in Midnight Blue.

And Day One madness is over! I'm currently typing this curled up in my room amidst look lists and collection inspiration packs galore - glam! London Fashion Week opening day is always a good one, whether for 'street style' (I'll touch on this later and in a post next week!), for inspiration and soaking up the buzz of so many likeminded people, or for the big show reveals. I managed to miss two shows and attend two shows, oh Friday 13th, but got lots planned for tomorrow and Sunday!

To celebrate LFW's opener for SS14, the heavens opened and we got to enjoy cobbles AND rain this season. We stopped by at Covent Garden for a blowdry and for some food, and thankfully it wasn't actually cold, so my Dahlia co-ords look was pretty much perfect for the weather conditions! (And the blog gets even more inherently British…) I've wanted a co-ords set for absolutely ages and finally settled on this set about two weeks ago. Not too keen on the skirt because the fit is terrible - as you'll know if I chatted to you yesterday! - but the top is my new favourite thing. I'm really looking forward to wearing it with super skinny jeans and some flat boots this season!

Did I mention that I may have made a small splurge this week too? Following 10 months of hardcore saving, I finally saved enough pennies to treat myself, and I picked the Mulberry Bayswater Shoulder in Midnight Blue. I'm seriously in love, and it's a surprisingly good size for toting all manner of random objects around. Cough cough, questionable photobooth snaps.

Big thanks go to Sarah for the outfit photos and especially to Glam UK for their ever accommodating ways this season, in-between show shelter was the best, and we even got massages! Feeling very grateful and out of body right now. (Maybe that's just the 16 hour day…)

    1. Thank you Georgina! I've always been good at saving, my parents were really strict (in the good way) with teaching us about money and material possessions! Despite what this blog may document, I try to be sensible. (:
