Sometimes it's good to shake up your style and try something new, right? The past 12 months have seen my style come on in leaps and bounds, trying print clashes, trying new prints, wearing heels from 7.30am for work life… all with my faithful Chanel glasses in tow, but it's about time I switched it up - meet my Osiris for Specsavers specs…

A very 'me' pair in plastic, these pink frames from the 2013 Osiris eyewear collection were designed by Jorgen Simonsen, and feel like a nice step in a new direction for me. They're a pair out of 60 - yep! - new frames in the collection, and it took me forever to select my dream pair. I'd imagine pink glasses being relatively difficult to slip into everyday wear, but y'know what? It was a breeze.

I'm really into dress down everyday at the moment, switching up my footwear to accommodate daily activities. For lunches with the ladies, important meeting days at work and anything that involves leaving my hometown (this is my general rule of thumb with smart vs. not), the grey sweater and printed trouser combo is accentuated with a cobalt blue low wedge heel. Throwing on a statement necklace and my new Osiris frames, it feels elegantly done but the loud print and laid-back sweater take away the nerd-gal aspect. (As much as that can be done for me, anyway…!)

Throw in a 180 activity dilemma and the look is easily switched up! Who doesn't drive around with a pair of Converse tucked into their boot, eh? Specsavers actually offer a great lens thinning and coating service, meaning that any glare is nicely reduced for when you're on the road, by stretches of water, filming, etc. Handy. I've worn glasses since I was 15 and can't even begin to describe how much everyday life has been enhanced since I got my lens coated!

To coincide with the launch of the Jorgen Simonsen 2013 collection for Osiris at Specsavers, there's a bit of a head-to-head competition going on with Specsavers to find the best 5 Osiris looks. My entry launches here today and it'd mean the world to me to nab a little vote from you ladies, and you could win vouchers to recreate my entire look for yourself.

How It Works:
The 2013 Osiris eyewear collection by Jørgen Simonsen is only available at Specsavers and is included in their 2 for 1 offer where two complete pairs are available for £125.

  6. Those glasses are adorable! I find that lighter coloured glasses look softer than an ordinary black pair. I love printed trousers too. I'm just about ready for the chillier weather so I can start wearing them regularly :)

    1. Aw thank you so much Maria! Haven't worn coloured frames since my first ever pair of glasses so they're quite a novelty - can't wait to get the lenses fitted in them so I can, er, see! x

  10. Love your new glasses, they suit you so well! I always stick to brown-ish colours for my glasses for a neutral look, but like you said, your new glasses could go with everything even though they're pink!
