This weekend I've been taking a step back from everything and enjoying not doing anything. What a concept, eh? After the busiest week of my life (read: did not spend one evening at home) and sending the fourth print issue of Aesthetic to print, I couldn't think of anything better than to just lie down for long periods of time, chat to the girls and play a whole lotta Animal Crossing!

I think I've come on leaps and bounds from my hermit stature as of late. Managed to see lots of the best of the best this week when having an impromptu break from the blog, and y'know what, it felt good to relax and spend time with them all. Monday saw three of my real-life friends and I have a pub grub session to swap stories and gossip, and Tuesday saw me crash at Aisling's for a pyjama party and to whirl up some exciting projects.

On Wednesday I met up with my lovely Erin of Sawyer and Scout for a bubble tea and a very overdue geeky catch-up, and I just realised how amazing this community is. So many likeminded people that you just click with!

Thursday was my beautiful Mama's 50th birthday! We just had a chilled out one, bringing a cake out at midnight for her and then heading up to our restaurant for a surprise meal and to present a little nostalgic photo collage gift. That lady is the most inspiring I know: taking care of our family and masterminding our multi-channel family businesses too.

Then on Friday I met up with one of my best best friends for a pretty good Japanese meal for dinner, a juicy gossip session and a romantic walk around central London. Feeling so, so incredibly lucky to have amazing friends, on and off line, right now.

---

Hope you've all had an amazing weekend. Put your feet up, make a tea and don't move, okay? Sundays just weren't made for moving. Save that kinda nonsense for Monday.
