I've had the biggest sense of wanderlust recently. So much so that I spend my evenings perusing airline websites in favour of Zara and other such frivolous destinations. Currently I really miss the thick, polluted air, teetering buildings, modern meets traditional, bustling days in Hong Kong: this outfit is something I wore on the last day of my birthday holiday to HK back in March.

Dress, Primark.

There's something I find absolutely irresistible in these crazy prints. I saw this China vase print number in Primark of all places and instantly snapped it up. £12. Cut-outs. A collar. Done. I was lucky enough to pair it simply with a pair of tights and Converse back in March, and have been similarly wearing it in England with a bare leg, sandal and satchel bag. Quips about matching the vases around our home aside, I adore the dress even though it shrinks every time I wash it. Oh, you're so sneaky, little dress.

Back to the wanderlust though, super tempted to book a long weekend this summer/early autumn to counteract the many long days I've had recently. Aesthetic is ticking along slowly but surely with my team of beyond talented illustrators and writers on board. I'm currently trying to envision where Aesthetic will go next and perhaps some meetings with my old Uni might be in order. (:

  1. I love that dress so much - such a pretty print. There was one in a similar print (or perhaps the same) but different style in Primark. I wanted it for my holiday but my size wasn't there, booo.
Definitely book a long weekend! You deserve it :) xx

  4. Oh I'd love to go to Hong Kong, I don't really like crowds that much but I feel like in HK it'd be so bustling you would just sort of get swept up in it and be fine. I'm already making plans to travel after uni. Japan, India, Venice and Rome are all currently on my list!
