When an email arrived in my inbox asking me to review something of my choice from Little Mistress, it took me all of about two seconds to duly accept. I'm very conscious of gifting and samples on my blog and just want to throw it out there that I only accept or feature a very selected edit of what I'm offered.

Monochrome two-panel dress, c/o Little Mistress; Shoes, Zara; Lips, Rimmel Apocalips 'Stellar'.

This dress is one of those 'so typically me' pieces. With a pretty faux leather trim on the sleeves and pretend pockets, it toughens up a sleeker and cleaner monochrome aesthetic perfectly. I adore the shift fit and longer sleeves, and last Thursday it took me through from work to a launch of the new Huawei smartphone (post coming soon!), the Glam Media anniversary party and a Lulu Guinness party. Look at me, masquerading as a social butterfly!

Anyway, back to the outfit. I bought these glitter toecap ballerina shoes in the Zara sale a week or so ago. They're a little uncomfortable and a bit wide fitting but nothing I can't handle, seeing as they were super cheap! I also added a bright red lip, care of Rimmel Apocalips in Stellar, and my nearly-forgotten-about Mulberry Alexa.

---

I can't quite believe how beautiful and warm it is in the UK at the moment. It was touch-and-go for us at one point, with snow showers lasting until April... Had a lovely time in the sun last week at the Glam Media 5th anniversary party where I was reunited with Sophie, Kim and Emily, and got to meet the lovely Rosie and Lauren. (Both of whom are absolute dreams and who I've been following - in blog terms... - forever.)

Stay tuned for some more summery outfits a'coming your way by the way. Think, wearing as little as possible yet remaining socially presentable: my life at the moment. I had a really nice and chilled weekend with some friends and family, and I'm currently keeping busy with Aesthetic and organising my blog redesign. Can't wait for everything to come together on both counts!

This week I'm planning on chilling out with my best friends if I can convince one of them to drive back over to our hometown from her swish new flat, potentially popping out on a little date night and - most importantly - Beast are releasing their new album drop on Friday! So. Excited. Roll on the good times.
