Jersey stepped hem vest, Topshop; Leggings, H&M; Cream boucle jacket, Zara; Tan sandals, Zara; Necklace, H&M; Bag, c/o YesWalker.

After a midweek date night that meant not getting home until super late, I'm wearing this to work today to combat tiredness and a little hayfever. Oh, the perks of a 'fashion' office: getting away with murder dress down looks.

Pairing a sample sale vest with my very faithful H&M leggings, this outfit is perfect for combating no air-con or heating (it wasn't, in fact, broken, we hadn't switched it on!) and for cosying up at my desk with allergy relief tablets. I tried to make it feel a little more workwear with the addition of my Zara jacket that you all seem to love just as much as I do! It's super lightweight but perfectly cosy too, I'm definitely going to be heeding your advice and keeping it for the indefinite future!

I also added some tan accessories for a touch of modern chic. Sometimes my style veers into early Granny status, much to my sister's amusement, but the tan keeps things fresh and girly, not to mention my beautiful 'candy jewelz, sOo on trend' H&M necklace that the oh so wonderful Aisling chose for me. Nicely done girrrl.

In other news, Happy 4th of July to my US readers! I'm commemorating the day with loosely themed nails and my first free evening of the week. Tonight I'm going to be pulling looks and editing some style pages for Aesthetic's next issue with handyman Aisling, I'm feeling more excited and inspired for this issue than I have for any of my previous ones. If you're interested in contributing, learning more or even advertising in there, drop me an email here. Finally, thank you all so much for the wonderful words left on my last post. I have a few more wordy posts coming up on the blog as I'm back on track with my words and kinda want to balance the whole talking-about-dresses thing this summer.

    1. D'aw thanks Bella! Simple is usually the way forward in my book, I don't like to be too fussy. Ah hope they live up to expectations, I adore writing longer, wordy, opinion posts but worry that they'll deviate away from the fashion part of my blog too much. x
