Daisybutter - UK Style and Fashion Blog: fashionista custom palettes, baked eyeshadows, review
The Michelle Palette, c/o FashionistA. Available at Superdrug, palette prices begin at £2.50, eyeshadow pans begin at £2.

In recent months, my makeup routine has been whittled down a simple daily concoction of BB cream, a blush, winged eyeliner and some lashings of mascara. Not even a glimpse of concealer, bronzer, eyebrow product or eyeshadow. Last week however, FashionistA got in touch with me, wanting to create a 'Michelle' palette for me based on my hair and eye colourings, and I duly accepted.

The Michelle palette features four baked eyeshadows from their latest product drop. They look quite out there in the pan, especially by my standards, but I had a play around on Wednesday morning after slotting the pans in to a red palette, and I like. I like a lot.

My palette has the Exclusive Collection shadow - a beautiful molten copper bronze with more shimmer than you can shake a stick at; Fashion House - a heady mix of black and pearlescent gold which looks amazing blended into the lash line; Trendsetter - a mix of blues and purple that I'm yet to brave; and Stylish - a pretty pearl number that is great for highlighting.

Each shadow is perfectly shimmery - I prefer shimmer finishes but that's just the magpie in me. They do feel relatively chalky on application but nothing too horrendous to work with, and they lasted me a 15-hour wear on both days that I've worn the shadows outdoors, sans primer! I'm surprisingly very impressed with this palette and would really recommend dropping in to Superdrug if you're after an affordable quick fix. We've all been there ladies, the 'need-to-spend' mantra…! I adore the PPQ empty palette and have been a huge fan of their blushes for many months too (£2 a pop)!
