Currently defying all semblance of terrible British summer and cracking out my latest sale buy for a truly summery look. After work on Thursday, I ambled over from the office to the Topshop Marble Arch store for a quick perusal of the mid-season sale. A preliminary browse already alerted me to the fact that there was nearly 50% knocked off this slip-style dress that I'd earmarked for a payday purchase absolutely ages ago, yet never got round to picking up. Jackpot.

Horse print silk dress, Topshop; 'Odessa' boots, c/o Linzi Shoes; Lime green make-up bag, Whistles; Bracelets, YesStyle and c/o Astrid & Miyu.

I really love the easy, trapeze, almost lingerie feel of this dress. The paisley-on-horse print is on another level and the crossover slit back is bloody beautiful. I'd hoped to pair this with tights 'for the office' but even by Arcadia girl standards, it is definitely more of a slinky evening number or beach-to-bar piece, being relatively sheer and flowy up top. I paired it with my Whistles make-up bag turned clutch and faithful stack heeled boots by Linzi Shoes.

In other news, I can hardly believe how long my hair is getting again already! I chopped it all off to a midi style about three or four weeks ago, and hadn't even had a chance to blog about it before it grew out again… #bloggergirlproblems I'm booking myself in for another trim next weekend and have been dithering over colouring it for the first time too! See here - thoughts?

Hope everyone is well? I spent my weekend catching up on my blogroll (please feel free to send me your links in the comments - gotta lotta spare time on my hands now!) and playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Such is life. It's a hermit's life for me!

  12. I love that dress! I'd love to see you with a different colour hair, love it as it is (it always looks so glossy) but I love seeing people experiment. Another blogger I follow just dyed hers dark blue, I have hair envy!
