Honey, I'm home from my whirlwind break away, and I've got a stream of tales to tell. Dipping my toes into a strangely refreshing humid and perfectly warm climate (I can't even begin to describe how much I tire of the cold) requires an arsenal of beauty bounty. I saw this Macadamia haircare set in the bottom of my ShootMeFab goodie bag and threw it in my suitcase without a second thought, and let me tell you, it was good...

Macadamia Natural Oil Travel Haircare Set, around £34, Beautybay.

Macadamia is a brand that I have dabbled with briefly before. I tried their Healing Oil Treatment when it came in one of my beauty sample boxes a while ago and fell in love, but the catch here? It isn't readily available and I could hardly justify repurchasing. This travel set comes with a Rejuvenating Shampoo, Moisturising Rinse, Healing Oil Treatment, Nourishing Leave-in Cream, a Deep Repair Masque and bonus oil infused comb. Perfect for short breaks away, especially in humid climates.

The shampoo is lightweight and perfect for thoroughly cleansing the hair. Hong Kong is a warm, humid, congested and polluted city, so after a long day out, this is more than apt to get rid of impurities and return my hair to a softer, cleaner, shiny state. I followed up with the leave-in cream every other day to add extra moisture to the ends of my hair (not sure if this was the constant air-con exposure or from the crazy 12-hour flight!) which left my tresses silky and smooth.

The oil treatment is easily my favourite product of the bunch. With macadamia and argan oils working to inject moisture, this oil smells absolutely amazing and is perfect for using before any heated appliance. It did a great job of keeping my hair looking lively and shiny throughout the day, and overall, helped the condition of my hair whilst I put it through flights, humid conditions, constant air-con and everyday routines.

I'd highly recommend this travel set from Macadamia if you have a holiday or short break planned. I'm probably going to buy the full-size leave-in cream once payday arrives. (My bank account hates me after my epic holiday buys!) The shampoo/conditioner duo just about rivals my current everyday choices - post coming up soon - but are still a worthwhile combination in this set. Absolutely perfect for treating your hair whilst gallivanting around the globe.

    1. Oh gosh me too, I switch it up with the VO5 oil which is a touch more affordable. Both work really well in my hair! (:

  9. I got a sample of the oil and hair mask in my SWXmas Christmas present but I've yet to use the oil - do you use it after conditioning or just on dry hair?
