Continuing on from my theme of new knits and incessantly wearing them until real life people start to get sick of them, this ensemble is something that I wear at the weekends if I need to leave the house, and just look - no black or grey! I'm recently going through a phase in my style where oversized fits and subtle textures are all that I look for, although with my ever-expanding wardrobe, I'm guessing this won't be the case this time next week.

Navy drop shoulder open knit top, ASOBI; Pink skirt, Topshop; Frilly ankle socks, Topshop; Boots, ASOS; Bow necklace, Ever Ours; Heart necklace, Topshop.

I picked this huge knit up a few weeks ago when I was super ill with a fever. You know the scenario, I was feeling sorry for myself, cooped up with a Lemsip and working from home, and more than a few things squirrelled their way from my wishlist into my basket. The rest is history. Anyway! The navy knit is big enough to comfortably fit two people in - my sister and I can vouch for that... we clearly don't get out much - and makes for the perfect piece to cosy up in whilst looking socially acceptable. The knit stitch is beautiful, with a wide stitch that doesn't reveal too much yet leaves a stylish allure.

To inject some much-needed colour to everything, I dug my old, old Topshop skirt out from the wardrobe archives and popped it underneath. I love the little slice of colour and the cutesy drop-hem shape that the whole look seems to achieve. I'm not sure where my current outfit inspiration comes from but I like it. Finished the look with my faithful ASOS Aggies (I need a replacement for these soon - oh hey Zara...) and some Topshop frilly socks to sweeten everything up. Comfort and sickly sweet style in one.

  1. I love outfits like this! This was literally my uniform during winter break last year and during exam stress week this year. So cute and so comfy :) Love it!
Hope you're feeling much better now!

  2. I love baggy jumpers, as an art student I appear to immediately be drawn to them for some strange reason aha!xx

  3. That jumper looks so cosy! Nothing like wearing a baggy jumper with tighter fitting clothes - something very relaxed but put together about it. x

  7. Absolutely adore this jumper! I am forever adding to my collection of slouchy knits, so ideal for those cold, dark days where you just want something thick and baggy to stave off the chill; and I love the skirt you've styled it with, they're really not two colours I would've thought to pair xx

  11. Cute outfit Michelle! I have the same old, old Tophop skirt. I never really wear it though as I find it creases really easily but it looks great on you.
