Chasing fortune and fame

Koi print shirt, Primark; Cigarette style jeans, Vintage Chanel.

Bit of an impromptu post from my phone today, so excuse the phone snap, but it just clicked that I probably won't have time to blog this outfit in full for another week or more - have a midweek snippet instead!

Forgive me ladies for I have sinned. That farfetched idea of giving up clothes and beauty shopping for Lent? Out of the window and straight into Primark. I did the deed and mosied over to the Tottenham Court Road branch at lunch yesterday and returned to the office with a double-layer paper bag. It was bad.

Today I'm wearing my vintage Chanel jeans. I hardly ever wear these bad boys, but when I do, things are good in the world. I picked these up when I was 18, at a vintage fair, and practically ran to the stallholder! They're a wonderfully soft 'denim' with a ribbed look and even have the original, genuine gold buttons and hardware. Oh and quilted pockets. The quilted pockets. Also wearing my new koi print shirt, a newbie from Primark, a stack of thin stackable rings on no less than three fingers, my birthday necklace and ASOS Aggies. Full outfit next week if I get time to shoot it in between watching the last of Flower Boy Next Door and packing for my holiday. Excited? Moi?!

    1. They're my all time best find, I'd been dragged along to the vintage area with a friend as I don't usually bother to hunt through the rails, but practically sprinted to pay when I saw them! Thanks Charlotte, super excited to write my full post about them! x

  2. Oh I really love the koi print shirt - I have given up spending for Lent so I am steering well clear of Primark as I fear my willpower would not be up to the task.

    1. They've seriously upped their game for the new season, seriously impressed - and this is from a girl who can't stop spending all her pennies in Selfridges! Hope you manage to buy lots at the weekend ;) x

  11. I tried (and failed) to give up shopping for lent as well! I also tried on that fish print shirt in Primark the other day, but I found it fit really badly, was so baggy and long on me :( Very jealous of you because I had fallen in love with the print!

    1. In all fairness, we tried ;) I thought I was doing pretty well, but I needed to pick up some clothes for my holiday, so a quick splurge in Primark of all places hardly counts! Thanks Hannah - I actually like the baggy fit, the hem goes down to my knees because I'm so small, but it looks great with skinny skinny jeans/trousers and heels! x
