And the struggle for natural lit photos continues... I had a relatively busy weekend (by my standards) and literally took these outfit photos at the eleventh hour on Sunday afternoon, but I kinda like the dusk setting and warm tone to them. For my birthday, I stepped out of my comfort zone and only went and wore a dipped hem, jersey midi bodycon dress for the occasion. Yup, all of those little design niggles that we love to hate and hate to love - I went there.

Cream jumper, Unnamed boutique in Hong Kong; Tie dye jersey midi bodycon dress, Glamorous; Boots, c/o Linzi Boots; Necklace, Topshop.
I've had a bit of a long distance penchant for jersey midi dresses for a while now, fuelled by
Sophie's style and her overwhelming collection. I forgot that I picked this dress up towards the end of last year, and once I spied it sitting happily in my wardrobe, I needed to wear it immediately. Not crazy behaviour, right? It's a sleeveless number, so to combat the fuh-reezing outdoors, I threw a jumper on top (adding a scarf and huge coat for when I left the house properly!). The dipped hem version of the midi has definitely left me wanting a couple of jersey midi dresses or skirts. I haven't touched bodycon since my days as a Fresher, but y'know what? Maybe bodycon can work, post-stay-out-til-closing era.
Tonight I'm mostly excited to cosy up in fresh pyjamas, cook dinner with my little sister (I think some carb-filled pasta is in order) and watch the newest episode of Amnesia. Oh it is the hermit life for me!

ReplyDeleteMm I know right? Dying to wear with a white T-shirt when the weather warms up enough to go sans jacket and jumper. Thanks Winnie!
DeleteThis is really pretty, what camera do you use, your photos are always so clear, and does it work well with indoor light too?xx
ReplyDeleteThanks lovely! I shoot with a Nikon D3100, but I use manual settings to adapt to each light setting. It's more about how you use the camera to be honest. x
DeleteThank you & it's great you included a link, I have quite an old camera at the moment which isn't great on quality, so this would be greatxx
DeleteIt's a great mid-level DSLR I'd say! I personally prefer Nikon to Canon, and this has great auto settings, preset settings and manual mode. x
DeleteThat's an awesome dress! Great ensemble!
