As covered in Aesthetic magazine's Winter Warmers edition (click to buy yours here!) and a blog post way back last year, Lydia Bright, previously of TOWIE fame, recently turned her hand to designing her own clothing collection. Lydia's style credentials were second to none on the popular ITV2 series that threw her into the limelight, but it is truly her style and tastes that set her aside from everyone else and that have left her with an enviable fashion start-up.

Interviewing Lydia Bright with a selection of bloggers for her Littlewoods launch. The collection is available now. Photos by myself, with group shots by the event photographer.

Lydia runs Bella Sorella in Essex, along with her sister, who both proclaim to be obsessed with everything fashion. Her mother instilled an 'if you're going to do it, do it well' mindset in both her daughters, and it rings true with Lydia talking passionately about every step of the design and creation process.

Along with a selection of other bloggers, I got the chance to spend an evening with Lydia herself to chat about her collection launching in Littlewoods. (Let me just clarify: she is even more beautiful and effortlessly stylish in real life. Hair and wardrobe envy, moi?) When put to my questions, Lydia selected a lavish ballgown as the one item she'd wear in exchange for the rest of her wardrobe. Lovely jubbly.

I also wanted to know Lydia's key inspirations for the collection were, and Ella was a complete natural, asking who Lydia most wanted to see in her clothing... dead or alive. Of course, with a stunning 50's and vintage inspired range, the first name that floats to mind is Marilyn Monroe, but Lydia quickly retracted and named SJP - ah that old favourite.

Her Limited Collection showcases plums, creams, navy and blacks, with beautifully intricate lace finishes and seriously luxe textures. I believe Lydia plans to try and create her own print and expand the colour palette on her next collection. x

A big thank you to Elly and the Littlewoods team for being so welcoming and for inviting me along.
