NB: Fashion CV is a new mini feature series that I'm trying out for Daisybutter, where I'll be highlighting my favourite style icons in each installment, breaking down their impeccable style into more manageable chunks.Elizabeth Olsen is one of my favourite style inspirations: effortlessly fusing that California girl aesthetic together with a New York City vibe - seeing as she lives, works and studies there. Coupled with her perfectly undone hair, Elizabeth easily holds the Olsen style forte down without any qualms, and even without distracting from her ever famous sisters. (Hello blogosphere? I don't know if you've heard of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? ;) I kid.)
To me, an Elizabeth Olsen 'Fashion CV' would be a collection of high end and high street - midi and maxis worn with sequin jackets and slubby T-shirts, Nars lipstick and highlighter with polished Steve Madden heels, Isabel Marant trousers and leather backpacks. She lists Alexander McQueen, Chanel, The Row and Proenza Schouler amongst her favourite designers, which is easy to see from Elizabeth's everyday style. ♥

Love your new feature ...an older fashion icon at a later stage of project will be great too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeannine! I've planned a huge variety of fashion figures for the series, don't worry! x
DeleteWhat a lovely new feature! A few weeks ago I launched a feature about 'style icons' and it's so fun to write. I really enjoy it. Great first choice on who to mention - her style is impeccable!

DeleteOh I adore that blue pinafore dress you've featured. Elizabeth Olsen's definitely a favourite of mine, she always manages to look effortless yet more put together than her twin siblings :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteMe too Ria! It's actually sitting in my basket, and I'm willing myself not to click the checkout button... Ah definitely, as much as I adore Mary-Kate and Ashley, my own style yearns to be a bit more polished. Hope you're well lovely! x
DeleteI love the idea of a fashion CV. I need that Topshop dress! x
