Beauty Highlights: Winter 2012.
Dear Daisybutter reader, I don't know if you've noticed, but it is horrendously cold at the moment... Chapped lips, windswept hair and dull skin would all be on the cards if it wasn't for my winter beauty goodies that have squeezed their way into my everyday routine lately. Nope, your eyes do not deceive you, I have become a product convert to combat the winter blues this year.

Warm Flannel
A little skincare tip from me? Ever since I was a young'un, I've cleansed my face morning and night with a warm flannel as my last skincare routine step. I don't pull or tug on the skin, just a few gentle swipes to get rid of excess product and work away any dead skin. My ultimate skincare secret.

Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint - 510 Kiss Me
To add colour and life back to my face, I can't sing the praises of this lip tint enough. It is the sole reason I've been dabbling in red lips this season, and lasts for absolutely ages on the lips. With a clear balm on the other end to add a subtle sheen and much-needed moisture, I've been reaching for this watermelon-scented tint on a near daily basis.

Korres Lip Butter - Guava
I mentioned this lip butter in my WIMB post a week or so ago, and it is still (unsurprisingly) a favourite. While it leaves a slight white cast to my lips - I believe this range is tinted, but the Guava is white... - it is super moisturising and tastes so so good. I personally like the pot packaging, but if you're not a fan, I do believe a lipstick packaging version exists too!

Barry M Nail Paint in Yellow Topaz Glitter
Look. At. That. Glitter. Need I say more? This Barry M nail paint is the first of theirs that I've bought in years. Yellow Topaz Glitter is a densely packed glitter polish with multi-shape glitter particles in it for a 3D effect. It looks great on its' own, or as an accent nail paired with deep red hues. My ultimate festive nail product of choice.

Ritessens Exfoliant
This exfoliator is a sample from the October Joliebox, and from the moment I tried it, it became a staple in my cleansing routine. I typically use this in the evenings after cleansing, to buff away dead skin (yum!) and add some radiance. Commuting five days a week to work means my skin is often in need of a lot of TLC! The exfoliant has very fine particles for a gentle exfoliation, and smells like a spa product to me - perfect.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
Going through a love-hate phase with my Elasticizer at the moment. On one hand, my hair has never felt so soft and smooth before, and on the other? Well just look at the price tag. I found this in the depths of my Cosmo Blog Awards goody bag about a week or two ago (thank you again for getting me nominated!) and immediately went to try it out. As you've probably heard on the grapevine, it is truly a saviour, but I'll be rationing this for all of those special occasions that I don't go to...

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
This is my 'special treat' exfoliator at the moment. This came in my November Glossybox and I was immediately intrigued by the powder formula. Mind. Blown. Tap a little of the product into your fingertips, add water and rub between the fingers, applying the paste to your face for a baby smooth finish. I can't get enough of this Dermalogica baby, and it is seriously fun to use once you've stopped spilling it all over the bathroom counter!

What are your favourite winter beauty bits? Any of your favourites crop up in my selection?

    1. I absolutely love mine Gem, feels so luxurious because it isn't a conventional exfoliant. It's definitely made me want to try more Dermalogica in the future! (:
