daisybutter - UK Style and Fashion Blog: what i wore, ootd, wiwt, AW12, j.w. anderson for topshop bat jumper, mulberry alexa

Handknit bat jumper, J.W. Anderson for Topshop; Paperbag waist skirt, c/o Annie Greenabelle; Black ribbed tights, H&M; Scallop edge ballerina flats, New Look; Mulberry Alexa in Petticoat White (SS11).
I hadn't planned on getting changed posting an outfit today, but then I remembered a hospital appointment was scheduled for this morning and also ended up running all sorts of errands in the town centre, so I quickly threw this ensemble on, sans coat(!!), for a casual Saturday.

Like so many other Topshop devotees, I caved and bought the J.W. Anderson x Topshop handknit bat jumper when they restocked sometime last week. While it had simply been sitting pretty in my basket (albeit on a sold out status) previously, something clicked, and with some help from my friend Zoe, I decided that a £70 jumper was just what my wardrobe was lacking. It is super warm and snuggly, and for those perhaps dithering over their own purchase, it does run a little large! I'm over the moon that this has made its' way into my wardrobe - or as much as you can be over clothing...

Paired it with a simple green paperbag skirt and ribbed tights for a feminine and more whimsical flair to what my Mum has affectionately dubbed my 'Halloween jumper'. Ha-di-ha. My Mulberry Alexa is still knocking around, unable to leave the crook of my arm for love nor money, and I'm always pleasantly surprised by how clean the petticoat white has remained!

Anyway! Enough of my rambling, I'm off to paint my nails (butter LONDON's 'Scoundrel', FYI) and prepare for this evening's viewings of K-con 2012 and X Factor! Catch you on Twitter or Tumblr

  3. £70 sure is a lot to spend on a jumper, but it does look lovely and warm!
I'm amazed your Alexa has stayed so clean too, seeing as you've had it a while now! I love it, it's much nicer than the tan one actually :) x
