JolieBox October 2012, 'Pure and Natural'.
Described as their Pure and Natural box, this month's JolieBox is a standout edition for me, and is the only box since Glossybox's Christmas box to really excite me. The October Menu promises a beauty survival kit packed with products that feature natural goodness for a simple beauty routine. With two full sized products, two standard luxury sample sized products and a lifestyle product thrown in for good measure, this is - dare I say it - my ideal box.

I'll start with the Ritessens Exfoliant, the largest product of the bunch. This is a cream based exfoliant with micro exfoliant particles that work gently on the skin to refine its texture and remove impurities. It promises to leave your face feeling 'clean, silky and radiant' and is suitable for all skin types - after just one use, I'll have to come back to you on this one, but I'm giving it a tentative thumbs up already.

Another sample I'm really interested in is the Iroisie Soin Parfait Ultimate BB Cream: longer term readers will know that I'm a Missha and Skin79 devotee when it comes to the recently popularised BB cream, and I'm yet to give their Western counterparts a test-run, but this looks like it might just step up to the plate. JolieBox are offering a great promotion for their subscribers alongside this box this month too! I'm wearing a sachet-full of this today so shall report back on Twitter with my initial thoughts...

The Moa Multi-Purpose Balm is something I've previously tried (also in a beauty box), but with good results the first time round, I already know this'll be getting a world of use when popped in my handbag. Two thumbs up from me. Now I'll be the first to admit that I'm somewhat of a lip balm hoarder - I think I have around four on the go at the moment - but this Jason Bee Healthier Lip Balm Stick just doesn't appeal to me. After initially bee-ing (sorry, it had to be done!) excited by the beeswax and aloe combination, a swatch and a whiff of the scent means I am passing this one on to a family member and sticking to my faithful Benefit Lipscription and Korres Guava Lip Butter.

Finally, after a week of feeling a little under the weather, I am excited to brew a mug of this Lov Organic herbal tea to test with the X Factor tonight. An organic blend of white and green tea, this promises skincare benefits which is always good in my books.
The October JolieBox is still available on their website to purchase and for new subscribers to receive under the end of the month, so head over to register or to JolieBox e-shop purchase the full-size versions of any product mentioned in this post.

  1. This sounds amazing! I really miss getting my beauty box every month... I had not heard great things about Glossybox USA, and Birchbox (who have now brought Joliebox incidentally) has a waitlist which I have only just got the the top of, so I can't wait for my first box to arrive soon!
