Sheer peach shirt, New Look; Peplum vest, A boutique in Hong Kong; Pixie pants, c/o J Crew; Merlot smoking slippers, Topshop; Pearl stitch cardigan, Topshop; Flocked skull scarf, River Island.
Mondays have never been more cosy than today. Armed with copious layers of slubby knits and floaty chiffons, and with interchangeable Topshop Merlot smoking slippers and Rilakkuma slippers, even the dreaded Monday feeling has somewhat ebbed away to no more than just another turn of phrase. Granted, I've been hugging my Ministry of Magic mug of hot chocolate for longer than anyone should, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...

I'm still enjoying a brief dalliance and love affair with my flocked skull scarf from River Island. Oddly enough, it is practically alive and seems to tug itself to be longer on one side than the other by itself? Send help and suggestions on a postcard! It is super snuggly though, and I'd definitely recommend it seeing as we're not quite into knitted scarf season just yet.

Anyway, I'm off to tackle the rest of my Wunderlist for the day (hoovering, followed by my accounts and scanning projects away, le sigh), accompanied by a soundtrack of Taylor Swift's fourth album, 'Red', which was officially released today. Hope everyone is well!

  3. If I wore this outfit on a Monday, I'd feel so cozy too
That reminds me... I need to pull out my skull scarf and start wearing it before only the huge, knit scarves will suffice.

  5. I have a scarf in the same fabric but a different pattern (from Accessorize) - it does the exact same thing - most of the time it goes so lopsided it falls off, i find myself constantly tugging it right throughout the day.
In the end i went on a search for a pretty brooch to fasten it with - or a tiny safety pin! Maybe you could do something similar?
