Joliebox September 2012, 'Runway Ready'.
Branded as the London Fashion Week box, this month's Joliebox offerings are themed to celebrate fashionable beauty products as a remedy for those post-summer blues. I don't know about you, but I'm certainly beginning to miss those long summer nights with pretty lighting and midnight escapades, but I'm more than excited for my favourite season of autumn with the onslaught of some beauty gems to add to my collection.

Balmi - Lip Balm 5/5
By far, this is the highlight of my Joliebox this month. I first heard about these handy little balms via the blogosphere (of course) and was more than excited to see the Raspberry version in my box. With a handy little detachable chain so you can fasten it to make-up bags, keys, phones(?!), etc. this is an ideal choice for carrying around with you, and the unique dome shape means it is super hygienic too. It contains SPF15 which is a definite selling point for me, as my lips are very prone to getting chapped whether in the cold or the heat, and it leaves my lips moisturised without feeling greasy.

Redken - Align 12 Protective Straightening Lotion 3/5
I'm always a little wary of lotions and potions for my hair, often finding them to weigh my thick yet normal type hair down. This product claims to control hair for naturally straight results, providing heat protection and banishing frizz to boot, all of which my hair doesn't suffer from, so I'll probably pass this on to a friend to try instead!

Dr Bragi - Bio Marine Exfoliant 4/5
One of my favourite luxuries is an exfoliator, so this is something I'm looking forward to trying. A marine-based product, I'm looking forward to a citrusy based scent that'll renew tired skin - I know my skin is very tired and dull as of late! Not too sure about the sachet packaging as ever, but nevertheless, they are ideal sample sizes, one of which will be off to my Mum's bathroom for a trial run.

I Love... - Mango Face Mask 2/5
As a stickler for routine, I rarely stray from my facemask essentials of My Beauty Diary and Origins (more on my skincare in a post later this week!), so this mango facemask pack has gone straight to my sister. Moisturising and reviving, this product is suitable for all skins, I'm just wary of trying new products on my face that require twenty minutes of use!

Also in this box were a selection of twistband hair ties(?) that I thought were an odd choice to add in a sample box. I never tie my hair up when I'm not lounging around the house, and with quite a thick head of hair, these simply wouldn't suffice! I'm sure they'll come in handy at some point, but currently, they are sitting unloved in my odds and ends tray on my dressing table. Such a sad tale.

What do you think of this month's Joliebox? This box is available for purchase until the 30th September 2012, so if you'd like to sample the above, do hop on over and give the service a try.

  4. I don't like Joliebox at all, I don't think their boxes are consistent, they don't seem like they're a beauty box and what's with the hair ties?!
