GlossyBox September 2012, with Maggie Li, for London Fashion Week.
So I guess autumn is in full swing now, and I'm currently enjoying burning my Vanilla Cinnamon candles, hugging mugs of hot chocolate and sifting through beauty samples by way of spending cosy evenings in. The September GlossyBox has been a particular highlight of my pampering routine though, with a fragrance, eye cream, moisturiser, facial and hair oil to complete the seasonal beauty transition. Once again, I've already picked out products from this box that'll worm their full sized way into my overflowing beauty cabinet. (Oh it's always a plus when your brother moves back to Uni and leaves an empty shelf...) Plus, just how pretty is the custom illustrated box by Maggie Li? This is taking pride of place on my beauty stand.

Vichy - Idealia Day Care Cream 4/5
I very nearly picked this up in Boots a few weeks ago, but held back after seeing the price tag attached and not being able to dip my hand in to test the waters. £25 for the full sized version seemed expensive at the time, especially for a 'drugstore' product, but after a few days of using this, I can safely say I'll be off to Boots once my sample has run out. Described as a smoothing and illuminating cream, this ticks all of the boxes for me.

Rodial - Glamoxy Snake Serum and 5 Minute Facial 4/5
This is one of those samples that I'm simply too reluctant to try: packaged in sachets, I'm always terrified to fall in love with the product (like I did with my Shu Ueumura sample that has become my Holy Grail cleanser). I'm mostly excited to try the snake serum, because I haven't found my perfect serum yet, and hey, prevention is always better than cure with skincare. With the full size retailing at £29, I'm anticipating good things... Watch this space.

Balance Me - Wonder Eye Cream 3/5
I find it extremely difficult to pass judgement on eye creams, and of the many that I've tried, none quite fit the bill that I'd expect? Nevertheless, I've enjoyed sampling this choice - a lightweight triple-action cream that is designed to soothe tired eyes, smoothe away dark shadows and reduce fine lines. I'll probably pass this to my Mum to continue using, simply because I prefer my Lancome eye cream that teeny bit more.

Maghrabian - Hair Oil 3/5
Another hair oil to add to my ever-increasing collection... I tend to reach for any hair oil that meets my grip when it is lacking in suppleness or texture. Honestly? I don't see much of a difference between this and my other hair oils, so sadly, it'll just sit on my shelf until it runs out.

Lady Gaga - Fame Fragance 4/5
Adding to my fragrance tray, the Lady Gaga 'Fame' scent reminds me of spending my childhood days at a family friend's house for some reason. It is very luxurious and floral based to me, with musky, soulful notes. I'll definitely throw this in my handbag for drinks with the Dream Team, meals with my friends or for a (very) rare night out. I'm pleasantly surprised by this celebrity perfume, and I'm more than glad for a sample, because it just might become a permanent fixture on my dressing table!
