River Island Christmas Press Day, available in stores from November 2012.
The River Island Christmas collection is one that makes me wish the summer away. (Sorry girls!) In typical River Island fashion, this selection is full of sparkly tweeds, patent accents, gold chains and texture clashes. As ever, I'm really looking forward to seeing their full accessories and handbags collection roll out into the stores, I've always been oddly enamoured with their handbags! I was also really drawn to this champagne sparkle tweed and patent sleeved jacket for some reason, even though the Dream Team said it was a hundred miles away from my signature style. Overall, Christmas at RI looks very boy-meets-girl with lots of gold and glitter thrown in for good measure.
Finally, we all sat at the back of the showroom with a couple of jars, bottles and pots of River Island's smokey festive teas. Created especially for the press preview, they were reminiscent of Snape's concoctions at Hogwarts, and I took great delight in snapping away! Oh I love Winter at River Island! Looks like some lovely items there, and what a lovely press day! Those jars of tea are absolutely amazing! How lovely :)
