My Beauty Diary, Beauty Wishing Box.
My brother recently went back to Hong Kong for a summer break (without me), and of course I saw him off onto his flight with a list of things to buy me. Top of the list was a box of My Beauty Diary sheet face masks, and look at what he ended up bringing back...! The equivalent to four boxes and then some! That's dedication, Daisybrother.

My Beauty Diary masks are popular in Asia and come in a huge variety, all claiming to reap different benefits. The Wishing Box that Jonny came back with for me was the tightening and rejuvenating box, and while I haven't had time to sample each mask yet, I absolutely love the Q10 Rejuvenating Mask and the Aloe Mask so far. The masks come in individual sachets, with a plastic film on one side of the mask, so your hands spend minimal time on the side of the mask that is applied to the face. What I love the most about these masks is that the mask excess/serum feels lovely and smooth to the touch, and can be massaged in to the skin for extra moisture, in place of or as well as your nightly moisturiser.

The Q10 Rejuvenating Mask whitens, tightens and revitalises the skin. While I am still 'only' 21, I've always been brought up with the mindset of prevention is better than cure and feel that these masks do tone and revitalise my skin. Commuting daily into London sucked a lot of moisture and radiance from my skin, and my skin is currently drinking up all of the extra product! For reference, my skin is just a standard normal skin type that errs on dry every so often. I find my skin is quite sensitive and therefore pick up hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, that I use serums and masks for!

The Aloe Mask is another of my current go-to's - I've used this twice throughout the past week! It is lovely, light and refreshing with a light scent, and is more of a nourishing, hydrating mask. The muggy weather mixed with rain spells, and a bout of air-conditioning loving at home, has left me a little more concerned about the state of my skin than usual, so this has been perfect.

Each of the sheet masks in the Wishing Box are available in boxes of ten, and I'd highly recommend them. You can pop them in the fridge for ten or fifteen minutes prior to use for an even more refreshing mask, but I tend to use them straight out of my skincare treasure cupboard! Next on the list: MBD Earl Grey Tea and Macaron masks!

  1. I love sheet masks too...I think too because even after you apply the mask you can feel a little bit more luxurious and massage in the excess serum and have a spa like experience. Have a great weekend!

  9. I'm also a bit believer in 'prevention is better that the cure' at 25 I've been using anti Aging serums for a good couple of years now, especially in my eye area, and people always mistake my age! They usually think I've just turned 20 so I must be doing something right! x
