The Bloggers' Picnic, London Hyde Park, Saturday 21st July 2012. #bloggerswearpineapples
Yesterday saw our much-anticipated (by us, anyway!) Bloggers' Picnic finally take place. Tote bags, cameras and variations of the same blogger satchels in hand, and held in no other than our humble Hyde Park in London, it turned out to be a lovely, relaxed afternoon of cakes, cider and laughs in the sun that decided to rear its' pretty head for us! We are well aware of the, er, blogger to food ratio too, we did a good enough job of nearly finishing it all!
It was so lovely to just sit and chill out with a couple of bloggers, take each other's outfit photos and have an almighty nerdy chat. I honestly love how blogging brings people together, and I can definitely count the Dream Team amongst my real-life friends. Hannah organised a little accessory competition, that Coco (the dawg!) won, taking home the Golden Pineapple award, while Sarah baked us some amazing cupcakes (she also won the Silver Pineapple for best picnic accessory). Aisling added some class to the festivities with her brie and baguette, and Elodie made some amazing cookies! Kristabel and Sarah were a little taken by my dad's lemongrass chicken wings, and then Hannah and Sophie decided to bribe little children with cakes, into sharing their huge bubble wands with us. Whew!
All in all, it was a really nice Saturday, finished off with Pinkberry and a wander around Selfridges. Stay tuned for details about part deux!
