It looks the summer is finally creeping up on us, and for some lucky ones, holiday season has arrived! Whether you're off for your travels in the exotic Middle East, hopping on a train away for a short City break or you're just roadtrippin' around our humble England - and why wouldn't you, with Olympic and Jubilee fever running high?! - I've 'styled' three Looks that are essentials in any holiday wardrobe.
Look One is quite simple with a few bursts of coral tones. I'm certain that everyone has some form of grey marl in their wardrobe by now, especially when Topshop released their version more than a month ago. This
River Island version is much more affordable, and is perfect for an easy-wearing outfit. Simply throw this on, add a scarf and coral pink sandals, and let your clothes do the talking: the beauty of dresses is that they don't need any primping and preening, no fussy tucking in or adjusting! The summer hols look wouldn't be complete without a pair of Sixties' sunglasses and a tote bag to hide tourist maps and snaffled hotel breakfast goodies!
I'm absolutely in love with Look Two, and I'd happily wear this at home! For those off on a City break, this Look lets you whip your holiday-ready legs out, as well as cover up while in the vicinity of locals. If you click over and look at this
Monki knit in more detail, you'll see it has the loveliest, slubby texture! Add a necklace for some extra detail at the neckline, and let these shorts inject personality to your outfit. I've never seen anything cuter!
topshop bralet · miss selfridge skirt · zara shoes · essie diffusion mint candy apple · topshop bag · forever 21 hat
Look Three is an outfit to pop in your beach bag, because it can be worn over bikinis and beach gear. I adore these chiffon dipped hem skirts at the moment, and they are the perfect balance between daytime and dramatic. Wear with a bright bralet and mint nails, with flat sandals and a wide brim floppy hat for post-beach dinners and cocktails. The bright bralet is perfect with light or deep tans/skintones, and will look beautiful on camera for your holiday album.
Which is your favourite Look this week? And are you jetting off this summer? Don't forget to, er, bring me back a souvenir for helping out with your packing woes! ♥
OMG those shorts! Too adorable! Love these looks, such a great idea for a post :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm honestly in love with them! They're my dream shorts haha (:
Deletelove that first dressssssss, the first look is so pretty. I'm excited for the new collections for summer but I always like fall the most because you can layer the outfit. (my english probs sucks right now, i feel braindead after 4 exams xoxo)
ReplyDeleteThank you Yvet! My favourite season is definitely the autumn too, I much prefer layering and all of the warm colours! Hope your exams are going okay lovely <3
DeleteLove all three of these looks, Mish! Wish I had the confidence to get my legs out this summer. They used to be my favourite part but they've gone and got dreaded cellulite. Looks like I'll be working out this summer, wahoooooo!
ReplyDeleteThanking you Bee ;) not gonna lie, I think you should whip them out anyway! Life's too short to worry about cellulite and all that! If only the bloody sun would hurry up and rear its' head in our humble lands! xx
DeleteThe scarf in the first look needs to be in my suitcase! And Sarah and I are both converts to the Mint Candy Apple club!

ReplyDeleteAwh thank you so much Esther (: becoming a freelance personal stylist is the dream, just need to work my way over there haha! xx
DeleteI love all of these looks, you have great style! The shorts in the second one are so cute and I love the skirt/bralet combo in the last one, such a great post!

Thank you Charlotte! <3
DeleteThose shorts!!!!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteI know right! My thoughts exactly! They're my dream shorts hahah :P
DeleteI love these outfit posts that you do :) That RI dress is lovely & I can see it being very versatile - love the combination with that scarf & sandals, it's a shame it's sold out in my size on the website though... :( May have to trawl through the shops and see if I can find one! They do a midi version too.
ReplyDeleteThank you lovely (: I'm sure the stores will still have them somewhere! Online tends to 'sell out' so quickly as people keep them in baskets and ponder over purchasing!
DeleteI've been lusting after the shorts in look 2 for what feels like ages! They're so cute! <3
ReplyDeleteEllen xx
They're too adorable! So 'me' as well, but I'd never get any wear out of them when I start my internship and job unfortunately!
DeleteAdore all three looks as I always do! Those Topshop shorts are amazing & I really like the tshirt dress <3 xo
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennie! Forever wanting to spend all of my money on the pieces I choose to style in these posts haha!
DeleteThey all look gorgeous but I particularly love the third outfit, the bralet is so pretty! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicki! Look Three feels so sophisticated but in an understated way, I fell in love with the bralet when I saw it instore last week (:
DeleteLove all the looks, especially the sandals! I need some new ones :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you! Zara have some amazing ones in at the moment, I keep meaning to buy a pair but the weather lately means that I don't even need them yet :P
DeleteLove the Topshop bralet! Great collections!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo!
DeleteThe Poppy bustier is the cutest thing I've ever seen, if I only I had the guts!
ReplyDeleteYou could always wear a light knit cardigan (unbuttoned) over the top (: plays it down while still getting the most out of the look!
DeleteI love all three! This has got me excited for holiday packing x
ReplyDeletewww.a-place-for-beauty.blogspot.co.uk
Aw thank you Elissa! That was the main aim of the post (: where are you off to? xx
DeleteI'm going to Cyprus next month, and love all these looks! Especially the first and second one, that's the kinda thing I would wear on holiday :) Really love that essie polish [mint greeeeen! :)], think I need it in my life. The Topshop shorts are so cute too. x
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so jealous! I've never been to Cyprus, but my Mum went with some girlfriends a few years ago and it looks beautiful (: thanks Sophie, hope you have a lovely holiday! xx
Deletereally love that monk knit! I bought the same essie nail polish in look 3 last week and i can already tell it's going to be a summer staple, it's so fresh :) xx
ReplyDeleteIt's so fluffy and cute, isn't it?! I think I'm going to pick it up on Friday, can't justify buying more things when I already have too much to move tomorrow :P
DeleteGreat outfits! My summer will be spent in school taking summer courses, so i'll be dressing for comfort mostly. That's why look 2 is my favorite. i love knit sweaters because they're so comfortable, and those shorts are adorable. I need that bralet/top from the third outfit! Very Coachella like.
ReplyDeleteM.
Aw thanks Monica! (: good luck with your summer courses!
DeleteI love all 3 looks if I'm honest, all the shoes you've picked are perfect also! Maybe look 3 is my top fave, the brightly coloured bralet is lovely and the mint green nail varnish.
ReplyDeleteJessica x
Wow thank you Jessica! I think Looks Two and Three are my favourites as well! (:
DeleteThe first outfit is absolutely my favourite! The dress looks like it would go with anything when you can't quite think straight because the summer heat has gone to your head! (I wish, England!) x
ReplyDeletexkerryw.blogspot.com
D'aw thanks Kerry! Mm I wanted to keep the looks as simple and minimalistic as possible, I know how hard it is to style and choose an outfit when it gets warm - you want minimal heat while still looking nice! (:
DeleteI love all 3 looks, but especially the 1st dress ! Gray dresses or similar keep popping up everything, constantly reminding me to buy one !!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful are those Zara sandals though ?? I can't find nice cheap-o ones that I'll wear, and I need to buy a pair because I love in a hot and humid place.. a permanent holiday place if you will
Nooo </3
Must. Buy.
Love love love these posts Michelle !
xoxo
Thank you lovely! Grey marl is so pretty for the summer (: I think splurging on a pair of really nice sandals is perfectly fine though, if you love them, you'll get your money's worth from wearing them all summer ;) I'm such an enabler haha! xx
DeleteMy flatmate has just bought a dress practically identical to the one in look 1 from Primark for something like £8!
ReplyDeletelove the skirt in look 3- i'm quite into the whole dipped hem thing at the moment :) xx
Obsessed with look 2, mostly because I am obsessed with the shorts! They are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteWould love for you to visit my blog sometime!

Those shorts in the second look are too cute! I don't know if I'd dare wear them though. So jealous that it's summer and holidays over there, I'll be sitting here in the cold reading about everyone's adventures, haha.
ReplyDeleteLove that tapestry Topshop scarf, gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress in the first set, really affordable especially for RI. The skirt in the third set is gorgeous too, really need to get myself a dipped hem skirt :)
