Pain au chocolat and a latte at Pret with Mandy · Outfit from Monday · It was sunny in Southampton, so beautiful · Procrastinating revision by watching Made in Chelsea in pyjamas · Ended up using this case in my law exam - Harry Potter til I die · Journaling happy lists · My third year mantra appears to have worked, just about · Catching up with Big Bang's World Stage on MTV · My final year work ready to hand in (sans magazine...) · Printing shenanigans in my room · Revision hair · Post-nine-hour-exam, frazzled face · Trying these MUA products out to review! · A celebratory Domino's · Bought some UO goodies yesterday, and also caved and bought my first Liz Earle product.
I officially finish University on the 9th May, so this week's photo diary is an obligatory mass of panic, procrastination and printing. Hola celebratory Domino's! I've been a bit all over the place this week, and am currently sitting in my bedroom, utterly refusing to pack to move home. Oh Southampton, it's a been a long three years... As you can imagine, I haven't really been lugging my camera out with me, so we have one too many Instagram snaps to gawp at today, but it's a pretty accurate insight into what my week looked like.
Seriously looking forward to a night of weekend 'talent' shows and The Only Way Is Essex tonight. I think I need a hobby or something (aside from my blog) now that I don't need to spout theories about authorship and discourse, or remember anything remotely related to contempt of court. So far I'm considering watching paint dry and knitting(!) What are your hobbies aside from blogging? Going to the gym doesn't count!
Finally, I know every British blogger under the (non-existent) sun has been talking about it this week, but the
Cosmo Blog Awards 2012 are here already and it would mean the world to me if you could pop over and
nominate Daisybutter.com in the Established (oo-er!) Fashion Blog category. There are hundreds of amazing blogs out there, but it'd be ever so lovely to be recognised for something that I love doing!
♥
Since I left uni I've been baking a lot more than normal! I did buy a cross-stitch kit shortly after I left but it's been notably neglected since then!
ReplyDeletex
We also like the have adventures in the V&A though Sarah?
DeleteWaaa I genuinely love cross-stitch! Used to do it with my Mama, alongside knitting hahaha ;) was so desperate to do anything remotely related to fashion and all that jazz! xx
DeleteMmmm all that food looks divine! Well done for getting your dissertation done, can't wait til mine's all done (next year...) x
ReplyDeleteI'm such a food enthusiast haha, I try not to include all of the food photos that I take! Thank you Lou, it was so worth the effort and stress, no greater feeling than seeing it all bound (:
DeleteOkay that Dominos meal has me really hungry, and it's 10.30 at night! Ah, it's crazy that you're almost finished with uni, so exciting. I tried to think up some hobbies I like that don't involve the internet... and I have firghteningly few, actually. Reading and eating, I suppose, haha.
ReplyDeleteHahaha sorlee ^____^" hadn't had one in so long, but I figured that post-9 hour exam would be reason enough to order in :P I know, it's so scary, but exciting at the same time, I've grown so much while being at University, that I feel like I've outgrown my surroundings. Haha same, eating and reading are my other hobbies atm! xx
DeleteThe food looks lovely and your handwriting is so pretty! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Lydia! xx
DeleteI've already said it, but well done querida, it's amazing to be done with it all and here's to the next chapter.
ReplyDeleteAs for hobbies... since mine are my blog and watching whole TV series in a weekend, I'm probably not the best one to comment...
Thank you sweetpea! Oh those are mine as well haha, I'm just so bored while I wait to move home and start my internship :P going to crack out a few books to read, and get some writing done while I have some precious spare time! xx
Deleteeek the 9th of may is my birthday :D ill be thinking of you celebrating your last day at uni, i have to wait till the end of may till i finish, boo - but I cannot wait to be off for summer. That is if we ever get summer :\ Lovely photos Michelle, you never fail to make a hungry haha hope you have a good week and good luck with finishing up on Wednesday!!
ReplyDeleteKirsty xoxo
Oh how exciting! Happy birthday for the 9th, in case I don't say it on the day (: good luck with the end of the Uni year sweet! xx
DeleteOh man, I miss uni, it was so hard and sad packing up all my things and saying goodbye to student life and my awesome housemates. At the beginning, 3 years seem like so far away but by the end, it's over in a blink of an eye and a very full car full of your worldly possessions. Hope you have fun in your final few days and celebrate properly :)
ReplyDeleteI always complain about it, but I'm already dreading packing up and moving back for good, it'll be such a surreal feeling. Thanks Winnie, am totally planning on going for a night of girly cocktails with my coursemates! xx
DeleteThat pain au chocolat and latte looks divine! It may seem like way too much effort, but I started playing the guitar a couple of years ago through teachers on Youtube and I honestly couldn't imagine my life now without it! You should give it a go :) xx
ReplyDeleteIt was SO so good haha, I can always count on Pret for some weekend eatin' on the go! Oh that's such a good idea (: I think I have a spare guitar in my attic at home actually! Failing that, I might resurrect my piano playing and learn myself a few new songs... xx
DeleteGreat post, i love the MUA purchases. Im so happy the upgraded the stand in my superdrug!
ReplyDeletehttp://thefashiondistrictnlc.blogspot.co.uk/
The Lip Booms are really good! Not a huge fan of the gloss end, but the lipsticks are really good quality for the price (:
DeleteYour happy lists looks so lovely. You have pretty handwriting too! x
ReplyDeleteThank you Sophie!
DeleteNow now, knitting is a worthy hobby! I understand what you mean though, I need to find another pastime and I'm not sure if Zumba is enough! Well done on finishing everything and I hope you enjoy the last few days, feel like I didn't make the most of mine as I was delirious from no sleep!
ReplyDeleteHahaha <3 I'm a knitter myself, to be honest! It's been a good two years or so since I picked up the needles though. Gosh I wish I had the motivation to join a Zumba class, attempting it on the Wii is more than enough for me :P thanks Kbel, am soaking up the long hours of nothing before throwing myself into the world of work! xx
DeleteYou have the prettiest handwriting! I thought mine was neat, but you're is amazing (: Makes me want to get my scrapbook out and write pretty things like you x
ReplyDeleteAw thank you sweet (: I haven't had time to journal properly in absolutely ages, but lovin' all of this spare time now! If only I could illustrate/paint, then my little journal would be complete! xx
DeleteJust started following your blog, and I love it. You have such cute handwriting haha, and my blog is pretty much my only hobby too.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte xo

ReplyDeleteProcrastinating by watching Made in Chelsea is always great haha.
OOOH, must feel like a relief handing in the final year work! Well done.
I don't really have that many hobbies. Aside from blogging, I like to read. :)
Good luck with finishing Uni, Michelle.
Nominated you, lovely!
They were seriously good, in fact, I'm craving another pain au chocolat now! :P thanks sweetie, I've never felt more relieved and proud in my life, it's been a manic few weeks/months. xx

ReplyDeleteMy hobbies are drinking coffee, eating too much, sewing (yup, I'm cool) and I also go to a book group (seriously, I am hiiiiiiiiiiiiip). Oh and the occasional gig.
Congrats on finishing and getting all your work done, I remember having lots of last minute printing nightmares!
xx

DeleteThis post has left me craving a Pret lunch. Especially one of their white chocolate, orange and cranberry cookies. Mm. Good luck with the rest of Uni, I bet you're so excited to finish.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently sat in Uni attempting to finish an assignment but procrastinating and reading blogs instead..whoops! xx
Mmm I adore Pret! Their food is much better than other high street, chain coffee houses (: thanks Hev! I'm half excited yet half don't quite want to leave, it's all been a bit of a blur! xx
DeleteI always love your week in photos! Im so happy for you about finishing the diss and your magazine is looking AMAZEBALLS! Urgh you're gonna end up making me cave and buy some liz earle. My skin is awful at the moment and I'm wondering if that could be the way to treat it... hmm. Everytime you talk about big bang i think you mean big bang theory. Cant really see sheldon bumbling around a stage though... xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jess! Can't wait to have the magazine in my hands, going to be such a crazy feeling (: I'm using a huge mixture of skincare at the moment, and my skin has never felt better! I might post an updated skincare products post next week if it'll be useful? xx

I'm so happy for you for finishing university. That must feel slightly cray! You're looking gorgeous, missy!
ReplyDeleteSO pleased you're bringing the posts back! Been scribbling away like a crazy gal in my journal recently. D'aw thanks gorgeous girly, and yus, it's crazy, I'm slightly losing the plot at the thought of having to be a proper grown-up now! xx
DeleteGood luck with finishing uni & well done for getting everything done! I'm dreading my third year, eek! That Pret looks delicious! I'm craving one right now. Also, I think you have the most perfect handwriting know to humankind!
ReplyDelete♥ Leigh
Thank you Leigh (: oh gosh, third year is INSANE. Like, nothing anyone had said to be would ever have prepared me for it, hahaha! I'm sure you'll be fine though! xx
DeleteI love the idea of journalling happy things, what a great thing to do. As for hobbies, I like to cross stitch. It's easy yet creative too :)
