Friendly Fashion UK is a pretty unique website with a simple concept. The shopping website caters for those who want to buy in a more meaningful way, allowing members to sell clothes that they no longer want, for other members to buy and acquire. In short, it's a revamped eBay, strictly for fashion, and minus listing and selling fees and with no membership fee either.

You can swap, giveaway, sell or trade old clothing and accessories on FFUK, and there is also a great option to sell handmade wares as well as make-up and beauty products, making it an impressive little platform to start up your own little 'shop' if you desire. The website is in its' early stages, but I do think the fact that listings are free sets it apart from the likes of other online business sites, I always put off listing auctions on eBay because the fees return to pinch me afterwards!

I can see Friendly Fashion becoming a great community in the future, something quite akin to Etsy with a modern and social spin. Regardless of whether you are simply looking to revamp your wardrobe (ahem, something I still need to get round to doing!) or to sell handmade wares that you've rustled up and unsure about where to begin selling, Friendly Fashion is a perfect platform for getting the ball rolling. You can visit the site here and log in with your Facebook account - simples!

  1. That's a really great idea! Whenever I've thought of selling clothes or shoes I always get put off by listing fees and I always see like Topshop heels going for like £4! Being able to set a fair price and list it for free is fantastic. I'll probably do a big clear out before coming back for my final year at uni and hopefully sell some stuff I don't want anymore! xx

  2. Oh that's great! Here we have a few swap-sites, none in my area though. Seems like a good idea. I was just thinking last night how I have a lot of accessories I never really used but want to get rid of.

  8. Ah I've just spent hours looking at clothes on there! So useful, but not good for my bank balance sadly.

    1. Hi Charlotte,

There's quite a few items on our site available for swapping, so you don't necessarily have to spend any money. And you always can negotiate with a member if they agree to swap even if they listed item only for sale:)

By the way love your dream summer wardrobe post.

  12. Friendly Fashion stands up to its "friendly" concept because it allows us to share some of our unique styles and old clothes. It's more like exchanging gifts with the other ladies out there interested in finding a new style to fir in.

  13. Wow sounds like a great platform. Ebay can be really annoying so I am glad they have spotted the niche here!
