Took full advantage of the five minutes of non-rain and very brief spell of blue sky today to shoot some photos of what I'm wearing. Wednesdays are notoriously the make-or-break of the week for me: had my penultimate dissertation meeting in the morning, walked halfway to town and caught up in the rain once more. The jury is still out for today, but we'll see how I feel after a standard student lunch of egg-on-toast.

(Tribal top, Love Lola Vintage via Neon Blush's blog sale;
Corduroy jeans, River Island;
Peach sheer blouse, New Look;
Navy moccassins, Topshop;
Mulberry Alexa.)
Possibly my favourite outfit in a long, long time, this look was pretty much thrown together as I indulged in a lie-in this morning and left myself with about ten minutes to get ready in the morning. I bought this top from a blog sale that Jenny of Neon Blush held last summer, and still adore it. The label says its from Love Lola Vintage, all the way over from LA, but correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not really a vintage wearer in all honesty, I lean more towards immediate gratification from the high street, or more luxury pieces like my Alexa! Also, there was no greater purchase than these cord-esque jeans that I bought in the River Island sale over Christmas. They cost me a mere ten English pounds(!!) and I literally pull them back the second they come out of the laundry: LOVE. Liv and Jazmine can vouch for how soft they are too!
Oh! I'm currently on the search for a daytime moisturiser to add to my skincare collection. I've found a great new mix of products for my daily routine, as I run out of my old favourites, and need a moisturiser to complete the lot. Clinique's Dramatically Different just wasn't doing it for me anymore. If you any recommendations for Normal to Dry skin, let me know! I'm considering the Liz Earle one at the moment! ♥
Don't forget to head over to the Filofax Blogger Style-Off competition and 'like' my entry on their Facebook page! If I win, my lucky readers get the chance to win their own Filofax from the SS12 collection!

I have major love for this bag <3
ReplyDeleteThe sun has just come out for about 10 seconds here, it's been vile all day :(
already voted for the filofax competition, good luck! x
Haha me too ;) I've had it exactly a year this week! Oh gosh, after I took these photos, the rain returned, horrendous weather. What a silly excuse for a 'drought'! :P thanks lovely! xx
Deletelovely outfit :) i use the liz earle moisturiser and it's amazing but for a cheaper alternative the body shop vitamin e moisturiser is equally as good :)

DeleteLove this outfit! A moisturiser you should definitely look at is the new neutrogena visibly clear one! Its amazing, I have awfully dry skin and its amazing. Its quite thick and absorbs so quickly. A little goes a long way too. Its EPIC. Your blog gets better everyday sweets <3 PS your bed looks so comfy ;___; xxx
ReplyDeleteEeep, thanks Jess (: my skin isn't massively dry, but I do have dry patches mostly on my cheeks. Going to be shopping around a little bit once exams and assignments are all over! xx
DeleteSo pretty! :) We have literally not even had 5 minutes without rain yet, it has been torrential all day (but I love rain!) x
ReplyDeleteThanks Arabella (: gah it's been horrific! So windy too, I got blown into a wall earlier on my way home hahah! xx

DeleteBaaaah, I love your shirt! Such a gorgeous colour. The weather is so horrific isn't it?! I've got into the habit of smothering a bit of Nivea or E45 (Glam!) on my face in the daytime simply because my skin is sooooo dry! Hope you're well, sweetpea! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Bee, such a perfect muted peach and I looove the rose gold buttons (: oh lawd, I know, I'm terrified that the tree outside my bedroom is going to knock itself into my little room! Waaa I don't have either of those here... Going to peruse the beauty counters once my bloody assignments are gone from my life! xxxx
DeleteI love mulberry bags, I have a red look a like!
