little april showers

I think I speak on behalf of the blogging population when I say the April showers are the bane of my life. There has been a constant downpour since around this time last week, and things are getting pretty dull and soggy. While I'm enjoying keeping cosy indoors and working by grey natural light (a huge motivator for me, apparently), it did strike me over the weekend that I haven't blogged an outfit in quite some time. So I got creative with how to show what I wore today...

Been dying to get some more wear out of this deer print button-up and collared number before, imagine if you will, it got too warm to get away with long-sleeved garments. The silky soft, matte material doesn't provide much by way of warmth but I still adore the cute little deer print, subtle polka dot detailing and black trim to tie things together.

Everyone who has seen me in this top 'in real life' has commented on how 'me' the unusual, kawaii print is! I wore it over my assymetric hem dress (extremely old Miss Selfridge stock, true to self) and tucked the front of it right under, keeping everything in place with the only belt I could find in my room. My bedroom and wardrobe is in an immeasurable state of untidiness at the moment, what with deadlines looming and red pen on most sheets of paper all over the place! ♥
