At the moment, my wardrobe seems to be going through an impromptu overhaul. A year or two ago, you wouldn't catch me in jeans for love nor money, no siree. I can't quite remember when or why I stopped wearing jeans: something tells me it was to force myself to be more creative with my outfits, but I think we can safely say it was because I'm far too lazy to take myself jeans shopping to add to my collection! Paired my all-time favourite jeans - I've had these since my first year of A-level-ness - with 'that' jersey Topshop playsuit for something that felt retro and summery. Don't ask how I managed to squeeze a playsuit into jeans, it isn't a pretty tale!

Over the weekend, I made a super organised calendar-esque plan for the month ahead, and it is packed to say the least! I'll be in London three times or so this coming week for various events and launches, which I'm excited to share with you all. Also planned to go to the fashion bloggers talk (or something of the sort) at the V&A on Friday, is anyone else planning to go?! At the weekend, I'll be jetting off back to Southampton, and then madness will ensure. I've also slotted in set days that I want to blog though, so hopefully this little blog won't suffer from my plans to enter library hibernation!

Also, a huge thank you to those who left a comment on my post yesterday! In case you haven't spotted my replies, I typically find that curls hold well in my hair, but I do help it on its' way with a small amount of matte hair clay (my favourite is Sebastian Crude Clay, or the grey Gatsby one) which I run and scrunch through my hair to add texture and definition. I spray a very light amount of hairspray all over, and then in the morning, it gives me hair like here, today.

  1. Oh Michelle you look so lovely. I admire your dedication to your outfit, it must have been hard to tuck the playsuit in :/ I think I would have given up! Your hair always looks lovely too. I swear your blog just goes from strength to strength. I hope my new one can do the same! xxx

    1. Thanks Jess! I'd been thinking about it last night, mostly because of the back detailing with the buttons, it wasn't too hard to tuck in, just a little awkward if anything :P aw thank you so much! A new blog?! I must find this ;) xx

  8. Wait that's a playsuit? Your commitment to creative outfits is something to be admired Misch, I'd give up tucking it in after like 2 minutes lol
Oh and is that bag current Zara stock? Been after one similar for a while.

  11. Ahhhh, now I understand your tweet about going to the toilet! Hahaha. I've never thought about pairing playsuits with jeans, but during the cold winter months this makes perfect sense! Have a lovely weekend, it sounds exciting :)

  13. Wish I could get super organised... I end up just making a million lists which is even more confusing!
I really love the spotty top, I've been searching for all things dotted on ebay recently :) Such a fun but simple print

  14. I knew I recognised that necklace - I used to have it, until my house ate it up... That outfit is adorable - especially the playsuit that is carefully concealed in the jeans, I honestly thought it was just a top! Looking lovely :)

  15. Oh I'm the same with jeans, although predominantly because I gave up trying to find the 'perfect pair', haha.
Totally in envy of your organisational skills, I've been telling myself I'll sit down and plan out uni work and blogging stuff for weeks now, and still haven't got around to it, nightmare!
Love the look of your playsuit with the jeans by the way xx

    1. I currently have three perfect pairs, so I'm slowly working them into my everyday style again! I know I won't be able to wear shorts, etc. when I start work next month, so I've been looking for inspiration to upgrade my wardrobe (: thanks Francesca! xx

  16. You look lovely :) That playsuit is so cute! I remember being all proud when I managed to get the skirt of a dress in a pair of shorts in a similar fashion. It was all going well until I someone pointed out that bits of the skirt were sticking out of the legs...

  19. Love the playsuit, the deeper back line and the buttons are so pretty! I love how you often use playsuits as tops/shorts, it's a good way to re-invent an outfit. I've never tried a hair clay before, it's worked well on your hair with all the texture, I may try one, it may make natural hair more bareable haha!xx

    1. Aw thanks Jessica! I'm on such a tight student budget than I often just choose to reuse playsuits as tops, and have a little more to spend on food/essentials/beauty (: and yes, would absolutely recommend a matte hair clay, currently trialling a VO5 one that I LOVE! xx

  24. YOU use the hair clay? Really? I used to use it when I had short crazy hair, but it never even dawned on me I could use it now that my hair is longer. It looked great in yours though, so maybe I can still find it... :) Thanks!

  25. Your hair still looks lovely today, oh how you tempt me! I love that playsuit, the buttons on the back are so cute! I'd definitely struggle with getting a playsuit into my jeans but you pull it off so well xx
