(Striped top and leggings, both H&M.)

Bought this H&M striped top yesterday and then returned home to find this beautifully presented Perfect 10 lookbook that had arrived for me. Coincidence? I think not! There's nothing more classic and simple than a striped top, as inspired by the well-dressed ladies in Paris. This one that I chose in H&M is the palest of pinks with wide black stripes and looks perfect with a simple pair of leggings for days where productivity is a 'must'. What's your go-to Look or clothing item for days off?

  1. Leggings and a cosy jumper are my go-to lazy day clothes, if I manage to get myself out of my pyjamas that is. I got some Jack Wills pj bottoms for Christmas and they are so comfy and cosy so it's hard to force myself to get dressed when all I'm doing is essay writing! xx

  2. I can't seem to stop wearing my striped tee at the moment, it's just so versatile! I always have it on when it's a lazy sort of day. I like the really pale pink colour with the black on yours, very sweet.

  8. I love striped tees, they always seem to be the most comfortable too oddly enough!? On my 'lazy days' I generally find myself couped up in a baggy tee over leggins with a chunky cardigan :) Ashley Olsen looks gorgeous in that dress on the Elle front cover too, I need a magazine catch up!

  13. Love it, and your new header is amazing by the way!

My casual essentials have the be high waisted black skinny jeans (I love the ones in Whistles) and scoop necked long sleeved striped cotton tees from Boden - I don't know what I would do without them, I'm currently wearing one in two tones of grey with a black pleated Whistles skirt!

Also, since I received it my classic trench coat has become a total essential!

  15. I love striped tees! Most of mine are long-sleeve so I'm itching for winter to come so I can actually wear them, haha.

  16. I love a classic Brenton top (and serious kudos to you for looking great in yours) BUT I never seem to be able to pull it off myself. I think it's something to do with being quite broad shouldered. I own one but it rarely sees the light of day.

My favourite for off-days is jersey in any and all forms (does this make me lazy?).

  20. Yes, definitely! I hadn't had a really good magazine catch-up in ages, the pitfalls of having to analyse magazines for house style and magazine page elements for Uni eh? ;) Hope you're well Louise! xx

  23. Thanks Rachel! Oh, high-waisted skinny jeans sound amazing! I don't tend to do so well with high-waisted clothes because I'm all about the comfort :P xx

  26. Thank you Hayley! These ones from H&M are good for broad shoulders, the fabric is really loose and 'flowy'(?!) so are super flattering! Hahah of course not, lazy is having a set of 'day' pyjamas and a set of 'night' pyjamas ;) such is the life of a student and fashion blogger(!) xx

  27. The Whistles ones are pretty amazing, they're high waisted, but they still stretch like the rest of the jeans so they're still really comfortable but hold everything in if you've eaten a little too much! They currently have them in navy blue and bright blue too - totally going on my lust list!

  31. It's an omen! I love stripes too; black/navy and white skinny stripes are just the most chic print.
